Topic: Random dots on screen?

So I booted my original Wii after moving house. Now regrettably I haven't used it for a while, but I really fancied playing some Virtual Console, seeing as the Virtual console on the Wii is better than the WiiU's. I mean come on, still no TG16 on the Western eShops!?

...but when I started the system, I noticed these random dots scrolling across the screen.

If you want to know, I'm running this on progressive scan mode with component cables on an HDTV running at 480p.

I haven't got the composite cables to test to see if there's a problem with the TV. And I have no access to another HDTV to find out if this is cause by the TV, or by the Wii itself. Has anyone else had this problem before?

After fiddling about a bit, I found "sort of" a solution. When I pulled out the component cable from my Wii as it's turned on, and plugged it back in, the dots become less defined compared to before.

I might have to point out that this cable is a third party one, so it might not be the best quality. I might order an official one off Amazon, but I could do without buying another cable in honesty.

Buddy, I think your graphics card might be a little fried.
