Title says it all. Imagine how awesome this idea would be. Pokémon in 3D with 3D battles like in Pokémon Stadium. Basically what you get on the DS in 2D, remade in 3D

I've been waiting for a game like this for years. Sure there were some console efforts on the gameCube in the form of Colloseum and Pokemon XD but those were merely spin-offs. As of yet, there is no big console RPG for the 13-year old franchise.

What I'm taking about is a REAL Pokémon game with lots of badges to collect, various towns to visit, random RPG battles with wild Pokémon, a Pokémon League and everything. The formula on the DS is great, so I do not get why it would not work in 3D. Zelda, Metroid, Mario, all those were reinvented for the 3rd dimension with great success. But Nintendo's biggest-selling franchise, the Pokémon series?.... Nope!

Why not? It's not like it wouldn't kick ass. It'd be awesome! Pokémon has very deep, yet easy to pick up gameplay on the handheld systems. On Wii it would be even more awesome and a massive success. The Wii is a big Nintendo success, so is Pokémon so it would be like a double win.

I know that Pokémon isn't about flashy 3D graphics, its mostly about gameplay, but it could just be even cooler in 3D. At least give us a proper console version of the handheld formula. I'd rather see them doing that than remaking older games even though I too, am excited about the GS remakes.

There's a game called Melee! Pokemon Scramble that is a 3D fighting game.

I have great videos!

That's not what I mean. That's more of a psin-off. I mean the formula started in Red/blue that's being refined to this day.

Ive been dreaming of this. But I would dream it on the Wii. Maybe they could revisit the idea of collecting 16 badges. Or Game Freak go gutsy and make you go to all regions. But they would have to make the battles faster. In the Gamecube games, I found that all the battles were very long.

I'm just like, I just, I know, it's bad
But I'm just like
Can I just like, hang off the back of your horse
And can you go a little faster?!

In Pokémon Battle Revolution it al seemed rather static. But perhaps that's the curse of turn-based RPG.

I never played PBR. But if Pokemon was to move to 3D, i would like it to keep its grid movement. I hated the movement scheme in the GCN games.

As much as I would love to see a true Pokemon RPG on the Wii, I don't think it's going to happen any time soon. Pokemon sells like crazy on handhelds. Heck, Pokemon sells the handhelds (I got a Game Boy Color so that I could play Yellow, so I know it). If they move it to the Wii, then it's quite possible that they lose the handheld killer app that they've had for so long. Until they get something else that can fill that for them (very unlikely that's ever going to happen), I think the true Pokemon experience will stay portable.

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.

i agree with phoenix sage. i dont think it would sell as good on the wii because the handheld is portable and so much more fun because you and your friends can trade pokemon and do wi fi all in the same room instead of being at each others house doing it from the wii and more people probally have ds than wii. IT SELLS WAAAY BETTER ON HANDHELD
