Have I missed it, where is Wii's Player Choice games? I know there has been games that have sold like Super Mario games, etc. So how come Wii doesn't have Player's Choice games?
It is actually a real shame that Nintendo have chosen not to do players choice wii games. I was able to get quite a few games that I missed first time around on the Gamecube such as Luigi's mansion, Soul Calibur etc at a bargain price. It would be nice to see older wii games such as Smash Bros and Mario Galaxy get a re-release at a discounted price.
I avoid the Players Choice editions. Looking crap in a collection. Always getting the "original" boxes. I'm happy that Nintendo hasn't produced such plastic waste lately. You get the older games cheaper anyway.
I want Players Choice back for Wii and DS. It let you know what was good back in the yesteryears of GC and GBA, and they were cheap! I'd also love if they'd rerelease older games as Players Choice that were discontinued.

I don't get this argument. The game is exactly the same for a lot cheaper, so why would you care if the box looks a little different? Saving money beats out a slight aesthetic improvement that has no effect on the actual product, any day as far as I'm concerned.
Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.
...
Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.

They started it in Japan last year but yeah I wish they'd do it here. I passed on a lot of games and still do because of the price tag. If they were $20-30 instead, I would get Excitetruck, Mario Kart Wii, Mario Party 8, etc.

That's absolutely not true. All first party Wii and DS games are still sold at their original price over here; no matter if they are from 2005 or 2008.

Not everyone wants a finger printed, scratched, and/or instruction booklet-less game for 10-20 dollars cheaper than it being new.
Actually from Amazon you can get new games at used prices if you catch them at the right time. Now Gamestop on the other hand yeah I agree with said statement.

Nintendo is bad about not dropping the price of their games I mean at most places (at least) around where I live Super Mario Galaxy is still full price when the second one is out, that doesn't seem right to me.
I mean Brawl came out in what 2007? And it's still $50 come on, I understand it's still selling but I think it and other games would sell more if they dropped it to say $30.
And as for the box who cares? You can't play the box.
The Players Choice line didn't start on the GameCube. It started way back on the NES and Super NES. And it's nothing more than the equivalent of PlayStation's Greatest Hits and Xbox's Platinum Hits; best-selling games at a budget price.
It's a shame the DS and Wii don't have any Players Choice games. I remember the GBA's Players Choice line came out rather late into it's life, and only had about 15 games total.
Also, almost all first-party games went on the Players Choice line, meaning Nintendo DID discount their games. Only on the Wii and DS have they kept selling at their original prices.
Nintendo announces its first price drops this generation on "two must-have games for the motion-controlled Wii™ system". Wii Party and Wii Sports Resort.
Combine that with Wii Play Motion being the first Wii announcement in months, I think we see where Nintendo's going these days.
(also they never had NES Player's Choice, unless you want to count the "Classic Series" which contained Zelda, Zelda II (the only gray cart print?), Metroid (aka the yellow version) and Punch-Out!!)
Player's Choice games annoy me. they always end up with some ugly yellow or green label smack dabbed on the front saying 'PLAYER's CHOICE'
that kinda annoys me too, but hey, cheap games are cheap games :3
BEST THREAD EVER future of NL >:3

[16:44] LztheBlehBird: James doesn't know the rules? For shame!!!
They only annoy me when I bought the original and paid more than twice as much for it; otherwise, Players Choice is awesome. If they're dropping the Wii to $150 they really need to drop some game prices too.
