@KingMike
Which would then make him a sad Miyamoto(A million Beezo bullets in my chest from Miyamoto's Subcon body guard clan aside.) and seriously i don't think 'anybody' has seen Miyamoto without a smile. :p.....Unless, you look at that one photo of him checking out Kinect after Nintendo's E3 Presentation....I think which may of been in 09'? Either he was unimpressed or annoyed that MS all of the sudden jumped into the motion control gaming forte'

Anyways! Look at this glorious & royal class act cover. Beats the NPC for the original Pikmin....The great thing about that though was that you could flip the cover insert right around and the get the full pikmin BoxArt instead.

I just got the new Wii Pikmin 2 yesterday. (Since it's only been out stateside for 10 days for the Wii. Hence why I have not played it yet.) And I've got to say, while it is loads of fun, it's downright HARD! The worst fact is that you can only get five or so Purple/White Pikmin at a time, and then only in caves. But I have paid 70% of the debt off already. (Of course I've been playing it almost non-stop).

@WingedFish I also just bought Pikmin 2 two days ago. It's definitely worth the $20. Not only is it fun and challenging, but I registered it on Club Nintendo and got 60 more coins! Now I'm only 20 coins away from being a platinum member. The best thing is my coins don't expire until next year! :)

@WingedFish
Since when was a game being 'hard' a bad thing? :p Makes it all the more appealing in my eyes.
I felt that the first pikmin was one of the more challenging nintendo games(The final boss gave me quite the bit of Mr. T touble!), but at the same time i accidently made the entire expereince harder for myself because i completely made the mistake 'thinking' that you had to send your pikmin back in the pods before your time ran out and it entered night time. This took up even more time....All you had to do was find your remaining pikmin and have them with you regardless of where you were in the stage...Right? :p

And yay, i got my copy of Pikmin 2 for the Wii a few or so days ago in the mail. B-) I honestly never thought Nintendo would of released in in the NA.

What does everyone think of the post-apocolyptacy (I don't think that's a word)?

I didn't necessarily say I hated it. Actually, I like how it's more difficult. I just get frustrated sometimes when I pass by treasures underground that I can't get because the Pikmin I need to get them aren't with me (or they got killed at a previous sub level). And then I have to go back to the surface and start over. But overall, I'm loving the game as a whole.

@WaveBoy
I was joking about the part of the E3 presentation where Miyamoto teased the audience by pretending he was about through someone a Pikmin as a free gift. :)

I just finished the Hole of Heroes with only 20 pikmin lost. 12 of them were shot by the man-at-legs. I hate that thing...

I have not gotten there yet, (but I'm close, I've only got two caves left till I beat the game), but when I first met the Man-at-Legs, I didn't know it's killing speed, and I almost lost all of my purples to it. :p Nasty thing...

This is one of those games where I play non-stop the first day, then cannot even force myself to play further.

I got to Bulborb Kingdom, made it down a couple floors, met a Wollypog.
Wollypog killed Olimar, 1/4 of my Pikmin, and I was 1 second from losing Louie when I paused, panicked, and deserted the cave.

I really want to keep playing, but turning on my Wii is TOO MUCH WORK...

The only time I've lost captains was the first time I encountered Bumbling Snitchbugs. It took me forever to realize that only yellows could reach them while they weren't diving down to snatch a captain, but it was too late. By the time I figured out how to battle them properly, both Olimar and Louie were down for the count...

I beat the dream den and got EVERY treasure. After probably 50 resets, I managed to lose only 1 pikmin... to a dwarf bulbear! It was a white though so he didn't die in vain.

I finally completely beat the game! Well, the main mode anyway, but technically, I did it! Now I'm ready for Pikmin 3.

Hurray I met two goals I set for myself! I did a 100% run finishing under 20 days (18) and not losing more then 100 Pikmin (64 haha). Funny thing is I didn't grow more than a thousand Pikmin total, probably because I managed them so well and focused mostly on collecting the treasures. But of course, I did reset an calculable number of times. But whatever, I'm happy with the ending results, I sucked the last two times...
