As many of you know, Nintendo's press conference was today and I like many others thought it was a completely outstanding show. Now don't get me wrong, all the games they unvieled were amazing and I'm not trying to complain but where the heck was Pikmin 3? They didn't mention it in the press conference and there is no word on it on their e3 site. I thought FOR SURE after Miyamoto confirmed it's existence at last year's e3, we would see SOMETHING on it. So I had a pretty scary thought, what if they cancelled it! I mean, there is no trace of it anywhere so it sort of makes sense. I really hope I'm dead wrong though What do you guys think?
Pikmin 3, along with Star Fox Wii (Unconfirmed) and Vatality Sensor are games that I'm surprise weren't in E3 2010. Maybe we'll hear more out of them later?
Oh yeah. I forgot about the Vitality Sensor... Does anyone know of any more specific opportunities Nintendo may have in the next few days to tie up these loose ends? Like a post conference or something?
Nintendo did say that they will be updating their E3 site with more surprises, so Pikmin could still show up. They plan on updating tomorrow and possibly the day after that. We already know that Zelda OoT will be one of the announcements, but theres bound to be something else. Maybe Pikmin moved to the 3DS?
I was wondering about this for a little while, but with all the awesome other announcements made I completely forgot about it. Maybe we'll hear more over the next couple of days (Same for the Vitality Sensor maybe)
Maybe they had some troubles with Trailers either that or at the Fall Conference we will hear more about there fate. (Pikmin 3 and Star Fox Wii on the other hand i'm glad Star Fox still alive after hearing about Star Fox 64 3D on the 3DS.)
a few things are missing as I posted earlier, but nintendo gave us a lot today, maybe they'll throw some software at us right before the holiday season, it wouldn't be the first time. and as sad as it sounds i want to see more of the vitality sensor!
Nintendo showed off so many games, many of which people didn't know existed, and that gained the attention of most gamers. I think Miyamoto knew gamers would be excited/hyped for games releasing soon (Dragon Quest IX, Metroid), games releasing in the near future (WiiParty, Mario Sports, Donkey Kong, GoldenEye) and the Legend of Zelda for next year. He wants to keep Pikmin in his back-pocket to avoid it getting blended in the hype of everything. It'd be just another game on the list, whereas if he shows Pikmin in the future the game will not share any hype with as many games. Gamer's hype will die down at some point, then he can hit everyone with a surprise dose of Pikmin Wii.
I'm also surprised at the Vitality Sensor's absence, along with no Pokemon during the conference. Its probably for the better but still surprising.
