Any fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of genius - and a lot of courage - to move in the opposite direction. - Albert Einstein on the Wii
WOW! That is really awesome! People on this site seem to believe that this girl with Link IS the Master Sword; that she is the spirit of the sword itself and can change from sword to a humanlike form. Sounds like an interesting theory to me! What do you all think?
it's weird he's holding his shield with his left hand, though. perhaps that's what's odd?

I was about to say, "What baseless speculation," but I said the same thing after the first Twilight Princess trailer was shown and IGN said, "doods, i bets link's a warewollf."
Also, Black Dragon, he's probably holding the shield in his left hand for the same reason Link was made to be right-handed in the Wii version of Twilight Princess: Most players are right-handed, so this better suits motion control.
If this girl thing really is the incarnation of the Mastersword, then I think it's a hint, that they really are using the first person perspective in the new Zelda game. I explained this theory on my little blog, if you want to take a look:
Girl= Mastersword? Good theory, there are similairtiys, and Miyamoto was eager to point out that Link isn´t holding the sword... Good to see the series evolve. And I expected Link to have a 40 year old´s face

there's never been any concept art or anything (aside from screenshots of the Wii version) that reflected that change, though. that poster is a first for Nintendo in that respect, and it looked odd to me as well.
either way, i certainly hope they don't run out of time on this one and flip the entire land of Hyrule again. It was weird to come out of OoT and then suddenly the entire layout of the place was (mostly) the same, only backwards. D:

That's completely different though. All the concept art for Twilight Princess was for the original version, the Gamecube game. This is a grounds-up Wii title, so it would make no sense for them to design Link as a lefty and at the last minute mirror the entire game. Link's going to be a righty from the start this time.
we don't know that they won't, though. what if they decide they'd rather make things easier on the 'casual' gamer and leave Hyrule flipped for ease of finding everything again after having played through Twilight Princess?
(this is, of course, assuming the game is even set in Hyrule...)
