Topic: Petition for A new Sonic game

Tons of people aren't happy with the sonic series right so i am thinking about getting as many signatures as I can & send an email to Sega INC. to make A Traditional 2D Sonic Title for any nintendo system maybe even have a feature like creating your own Chaos (whatever color you like it to be or anything maybe online Racing like Sonic Rush Adventure) SIGN HERE GUYS X____________

I'm very big on the 2D sonics, Sonic 1 - 3 & knuckels on MD are some of my favourite games of all time. The recent 2D sonics like Sonic advance and rush are better than the 3D trajegedies (not that its difficult to be) but didn't really have the same feel or gameplay as the older sonics. Sonic was NEVER about running really really fast constantly ona linear path essentially like a roller coaster ride.

The only sonic games coming to XBLA right now are Sonic 3 and Sonic & knuckles.

You might as well give up on this petition, sorry to be negative but even if you got like 20,000 signatures it wouldn't make a bit of difference, wouldn't surprise me if theres already a few hundred other petitions online like this already. You'd be better off just hunting down other 2D platformers in the mean time: Super paper mario, all the 2D platformers on Virtual console, DS/GBA etc....

i hope that SEGA gets Dimps (the Sonic Rush developers) to make a 2-D sonic game on WiiWare (or even DSiware!)

and honestly the console Sonic games have been pretty bad for awhile

3D can be done well. An entire game with levels in the vein of the daytime stages in Unleashed would be incredible. Never been a fan of the 2D Sonics (or most of the 3D ones for that matter, though I am greatly enjoying Unleashed.)

I've bought the Sonic Mega Collection, and I've just been trying to get good at the originals first (which is taking me a while!), but I would probably buy a new 2-D sonic. Hell, I'd probably buy a new 2-D anything!

I want a WiiWare 2D Sonic, that'd rock so hard.

After what we've seen from them people still want more?

@AlexSays: Played the DS Sonics? They're pretty good, though they don't feel quite the same as the 2D ones. And everyone loves Sonic, so we naturally want to steer him back in the right direction.

That makes no sense. They never made a truly good 3D Sonic game, but all of their 2D ones were awesome.
