@Superman: The only person whose time was wasted in here was mine, having to clean up the mess you started by personally insulting people who enjoyed SPM. I advise you not to continue wasting my time by continuing to insult your fellow posters.

As for Paper Mario 4, I have the sinking suspicion they're gonna try and continue the SPM format with the next installment. I hope my gut is wrong on this one... SPM was fun the first time through, but I've tried to play it through since then, and it was just boring. Everything's so empty; there's not enough enemies around to make it challenging until you get to later stages in the game. I do want to see more in the way of the Sammer Guys and the secret dungeons, though -- those were fun, and the Sammer Guys were my favorite part of SPM. :3

I wonder what Paper Mario 5 will be like?

Well Paper Mario 4 will come out in 2010/2011, so PM5 would come out in 2013/2014.

Here's the release date history of the Paper Mario games:

Paper Mario (N64)

JPN: August 11, 2000
USA: February 5, 2001
EUR: October 5, 2001
AUS: Unknown Date

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door (GCN)

JPN: July 22, 2004
USA: October 11, 2004
EUR: November 12, 2004
AUS: November 18, 2004

Super Paper Mario (Wii)

JPN: April 19, 2007
USA: April 9, 2007
EUR: September 14, 2007
AUS: September 20, 2007

So I guess there was a 4 year gap between PM1 and PM2 if you go by Japan's original release dates.
