I'm still waiting the Nintendolife review for pandora's tower but I found this one that matches the first impressions I had while playing the import
http://www.cubed3.com/review/1106
Many will look at Pandora’s Tower as being the weakest of the three Wii RPGs, with Xenoblade Chronicles and The Last Story easily making Ganbarion and Nintendo’s effort seem unworthy of attention. However, such a judgement would be unjust, since this Action RPG takes a totally different slant, offering an almost 3D Castlevania and Metroid feel to proceedings, mixing in a pleasant love story and a brilliantly smooth battle system that will widen its appeal. Pandora’s Tower certainly can stand proud amongst its fellow genre stablemates.

I'll be completely honest, I made fun of this game the last time it was a thread and will (hopefully) get it mainly because of OPRA.

That doesn't mean I think it will be a bad game at all, and any hints of it being Metroidvania like is good news. I just don't buy every good game ever.

I'm about five and a half hours into the game and it's been good fun so far.
There's no point trying to compare it to Xenoblade Chronicles or The Last Story as it's a completely different type of game.
From what I've played so far, I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who's considering buying it.

I guess this game is alright if you're able to pretend there aren't a few hundred better God of War clones/ "3D Castlevanias" on the other consoles.

The relationship between the boy and that talking radio in Fragile Dreams was more heart wrenching than this game.

I'm rather disappointed there wasn't an option to kill the girl and end this travesty of a game early.

It looks good and all but I'm not much of a hack 'n slash sort of guy. So maybe when it's $20.

I believe it's coming over here but if not I'll import it in the future.

I was really never interested in this, and wouldn't be surprised if it does poorly. It just seems pretty slow and generic when looking at the combat.

Aw. There's plenty of games coming to Nintendo consoles that will make up for this.

I'm hanging out for Fire Emblem and Dynasty Warriors 3DS and Art Academy Wii U. And I dream of a translation of Love Plus 3DS.

Also I hate Nintendo consoles for tricking me about Chocobo Racing 3D. Raw nerve there.

because a Final Fantasy fan is the best judge of what characters are annoying-wait you referenced Fragile, I can't make fun of you now. :(

The whole meat concept seems pretty cool and unique, but the rest of the game including the uncreative Stock character designs look so effin' generic it hurts. It doesn't stand out at all...Especially in comparison to Square's recent efforts like Final Fantasy XIII along with older stuff like Chrono Trigger(love that game, or at least the 8 hours i put into it.lol)

But what seals this games fate for me is the Hack 'n slash God of War-like gameplay.

Now if only the character designs were Stocke. We could always use more White Chronicle.

(no one knows what I'm talking about)

I do completely agree we need more japanese games with characters that don't immediately make me think of recent Final Fantasy games but you have not seen enough anime if you think that's stock. You have no idea how far the uncreative rabbit hole can go.

The world of Anime is so packed and overwhelming to get into. lol :p I'm a Dragon Ball Z guy(although i used to be hooked on Sailormoon hehe) and that's pretty much it, even though I haven't really been too open to alot of other Anime series. Plain and simple, most anime just leaves me feeling cold.

Anyways, I don't know man...There doesn't seem to be one character that stands out from the pack in this game, maybe the girl....Since she's got mutant meat growing out of her flesh. :p

but the guy looks like he could of been pulled from any obscure forgotten 'who gives a damn' anime. He's not the type of character that will ever be remembered. Look at the lead dude in Final Fantasy X for example, seems to be much more memorable(His Aqua sword is just too awesome) than the lead character in Pandora

@Waveboy I agree that Aeron's design isn't the most creative but there are far more generic designs than his. Also, at least your not going to hear him laughing like this.
