@YoshiSage: The CDi games were made without approval from Nintendo and therefor are not officially Zelda games.

@YoshiSage I'm not going to rip you to shreds. It's all about opinion and everyone had a different one. I really liked SSBB and I did think it was pretty awsome. (MetaKnight FTW!) While I liked it there will be plenty of people who didn't, that's life. Because not everyone thinks the same way it's hard to make an accurate list of overrated games.

I will say that in my opinion SMG was very overrated.

I take it you're not a fan of WiiWare.

ReddLionz

If anything, Bit. Trip Runner is underrated. Most critics reviewed it at like a 75.

I like WiiWare but those three games don't deserve the massive hype they get atleast not to me, but to each his own.

I totally agree with World of Goo. I played some of it and all I had to say was "Meh..."

Well, I've yet to see anything better on WiiWare, but that's just me.

I sort of agree with World of Goo. It was a great game, just not THAT amazing.

Don't get me wrong while I like WiiWare, it could use some tweaking it's far from great.

I agree with you Super Peach. SMG is a good game, it just isn't as epic as a lot of people make it out to be. I also agree that World of Goo is overrated. It has some cool levels, but it just didn't impress me all that much.

Not Brawl. Definitely not that.

My god, you guys really seem to hate Twilight Princess and SSBB, don't you?

I, however, am sticking up for both games, because they are NOT overrated and among the best games on the Wii. Just because Twilight Princess isn't as fresh as OoT does not mean it sucks. Have you played Phantom Hourglass (I know it says overrated Wii games, but still...)? THAT was very unimpressive, and to me, it was pretty frustrating in some parts. Except for the CDi ones (which you've obviously never heard of if you claim that TP is the worst), PH is the worst Zelda game. Twilight Princess had a fantastic, gripping story, complete with gameplay that held up incredibly well (though similar to previous Zeldas), a phenomenal soundtrack, very fun boss battles, and gorgeous graphics (which could have been better given that some of the environments looked colorless).

And as for Brawl. You've obviously never played it on multiplayer if SSBB is overrated. Brawl + multiplayer (online or local) = nonstop fun. It is every bit as good a fighting game as Melee was, and had better features (Stage Builder is my dream come true, but the Coin Launcher? Spare me, please), better characters (and character balance), and better items (The Smash ball really makes the outcome unpredictable). If you're complaining because it didn't deliver its promises, then it's your fault for letting hype get the better of you.

Given that most people on the internet think you're an idiot if you don't like the exact same things they like, I'm sure this post will be followed by a train of flaming. You can verbally rip me to shreds for having different taste than you if you feel like it. I do not care.

TP made my wrists hurt like you would not believe with all the waggling you had to do to fight, and it took me forever to pick up on the shield thrust move which was necessary to get past a few of the bosses. it was way too easy to get through and find everything, and the final battle was a joke. Phantom Hourglass was way more fun for me personally; i fell in love with the characters, the Temple of the Ocean King was a lot of fun IMO, and i never really felt frustrated except for when my hand would cramp because i'd been playing for a few hours and i was forced to take a break, lol. plus, the final battle was more challenging than TP's, which is kinda sad if you think about it. :3

Just because we don't agree doesn't mean anyone here will flame you, though, man. you're certainly welcome to your opinion, and I don't consider you an idiot for feeling the way you do about TP. we just obviously have different tastes in games, which is whatev'.

I agree with you on everything you said about TP and SSBB. And Phantom Hourglass truly is the most unimpressive Zelda game (which doesn't mean it's bad). As for overrated wii games, just one comes to mind: World of Goo.

I must stick up for Twilight Princess and say that it's awesome and deserves all its acclaim. I think SSBB is the most overrated.

I'll stick up for Twilight Princess too.
I was one of the naysayers, blah blah blah no sidequests, too easy, too drab, etc.
Then I played it a second time (on my 46" TV) and thought it was totally awesome.
So there. Sometimes a game just needs a second chance.

Edit for comments on SSBB: the game is not "non-stop multiplayer fun on or off-line. Brawl is one of those games that requires you to play a ton in order to unlock characters. In doing so, you become "that guy" that challenges his friends to a match the pummels the tar out of them because you already have so much experience in the game... so now, they just don't play you anymore . Then, there's online multiplayer, which isn't "non-stop fun" as it is "stop for 3 or 4 seconds every 3 or 4 seconds because the lag makes it totally unplayable."
Not to say that I agree that it's overrated, I just never get to play it

Do you feel there are any Wii/Wiiware games that are highly overrated?

My list is Super Mario Galaxy, No More Heroes, MaBoShi Arcade, MadWorld, Madden NFL 09, Little King's Story, Resident Evil 4, Pro Evolution Soccer 09, NPC Pikmin (1) and Wii Fit.

I have Mario galaxy 2, PES 2009, R. Evil 4 and Wii Fit Plus and all of them are great games.

I think NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams was overrated.....by Nintendo Power. It's an okay game, but I don't think it's a 9.0. I hate to admit it, but Super Smash Bros. Brawl is a tiny bit overrated. The main theme gets old after a while. Don't get me wrong, I love both games, but neither of them are the best games on Wii.

I don't see how Super Mario Galaxy is overrated, though.

I'm back (for the moment)!

NiGHTS: Journey into dreams is a snoozefest...there's not..any gameplay. You just kinda fly around....game lost me in under an hour.

Same with Cursed Mountain. Review scores were pretty good...yet it's arguably the most boring game I've ever played.

/Walk for one hour

/horribly slow combat with...mystical ghost-killing cannon-thing? Awful.

/Keep walking

/turn off game and realize even 10 bucks was too much to spend on this "game"

World of Goo was stupid too. And virtually all the Bit.Trip games...
