Topic: Other M intro done wrong

Does anyone else think they messed up the intro to Other M? How come when Samus shoots at mother brain, its not a hyper beam shot? how come the music isnt that awesome epic song that plays when she shoots in super metroid? how come she doesnt flash in rainbow colors? how come she says a corny thing such as "mother brain, time to go"? i think they coulda done a helluva lot better. = / What do you guys think?

Hmps. Haven't experienced it properly, so can't really tell. But I think you're looking at design decisions wrong. Which is exactly how many people who would've loved this game don't get to play it, me thinks. Flashing rainbow works in 8 or 16 bits, not so much in a real world presentation. The shot is awesome, silly mother brain gets the whopping one way or the other, the game sets off. I don't want sticking to earlier designs to be the leading information on how to design a new game, I want the current possibilities to shine. So it's different, and I'm very happy.
