@Sean- I Usually read the manual before too(especially Rpgs). Though there may be the the rare occasion that I don't (recently done that with AC: Cityfolk, I think I looked through it at Gamestop. Also Sims 2 Castaways, which we got this weekend (My fiance wanted it and played it for hours. I played some too, but I'm glad I'm getting a break from it, for now. I think it was played for 8 hrs. one day.)
I got up to the point of starting school; I like the Nunchuk-only interface; can't say I find the Remote terribly necessary, though using the d-pad for camera is somewhat useful.
I'll have to check out the Classic Controller as well once I get in further.
@KnucklesSonic8: Thanks for posting that playthrough for Opoona! Very cool! I'm looking forward to seeing your other videos too! I'm on a mission to find this game now because it looks really good!
Starting was slow, but now that I'm into it, the game grows with every session. It has some pretty graphics in certain places.. and good music. The battle system has really grown on me, and is much better and faster now with two people in the party. The many different jobs are neat sidequests. Other things too: finding friends, exploring the big cities, fishing.
I'm not halfway through the game it seems, and there's just so much left to do and find and buy. Somewhat deep.
I like the visuals and the tone and the unconventional control system. It's really early in the game (only 45min.), so far too early to make any serious judgements.
I'm excited to see how much this thread has taken off. I never started one because I didn't know an Opoona thread would be this happening. I never liked the nunchuck-only controls. The more you get into the game, (especially once you start collecting codes) the camera becomes bothersome without the extra control stick to control it, and besides, the classic controller gives the game even more of that classic RPG feel. I love it.
Yeah, starting school is quite early in the game to be giving any sort of real opinions. I'm at the final boss right now. It's a pretty long game if you try and do most of the sidequests along the way. I added up all the time from the time I started and it's about 50 hours.
Hmm I might give this one a try if I see it cheap sounds like my kinda thing . Note to self : Must stop buying games when you have loads you haven't finished
It's not too bad, I picked it for for 13USD, has a Phantasy Star Online appeal to it. The game play is catch but the theme is a bit kiddy.
Vegeta: Just...just...transform damn you... Bulma: We are going to have a penthouse sweet...and he'll drive a corvet...and we will make love every single... Zarbon: (transforms) Bulma: KILL IT WITH FIRE!
