I read the comment about lack of racing games and i immediately thought why is Mario kart not on the Top 20 list ??

Well metacritic is obviously not a great source for finding the best games for a gaming system if there can be so many spin offs of guitar hero, but no mario kart included in the top 20 Wii games, if the lowest ranking game in the top 20 received 85% that means Mario kart received less than 85% which i refuse to agree with, and that is without mentioning all the other great games missing from this list

There are also other games I'd put up there as well.

As far as Xbox games go, I'm sure they all deserved those scores.
Personally though, I can't get into xbox. All the games seem the same to me, which I know they're not, but I just don't get hooked.
That's just me though, so I will just stick to my wii.

Note: The Gamecube Top 20's lowest score on Metacritic is 91. Which is better than the 360. Which is even more proof that the Gamecube was not the worst Nintendo system (I'd say N64 or original Game Boy was). And 11 out of the top 20 games on the 360 are more or less shooters.

But I still say the Wii has plenty good games. And plenty more that I enjoy compared to the 360 or PS3.

Metacritic != proof. Journalists' opinions are no better than any other players'.

Exactly what I was thinking. I just sold my 360 because it was so disappointing.

Am I the only one that sees too sides of this? The wii library is lacking in quality that it should have. At the same time though how many media outlets give Wii a fair shake? No offense to the HD systems, they do have excellent games, but the majority of outlets do go gaga over graphx and ignore more obvious faults. Does GTA4 deserve a 10 from everyone? Did Game Informer really have to give Paper Mario a 6? It's not just games not being great, it's Wii not being a high-end console. The DS has similar scores and it has a boatload of excellent titles.

You tend to cite your various opinions as "fact". Heaven forbid you have a mind of your own. If you want to spew facts on majority opinion why not look at sales data. Carnival Games has sold over 4 million and Mario and Sonic as well as Wii Play have sold 10 million. So majority opinion, these games are awesome and that's a fact.

Some people buy a game and then find out it sucks. Sales aren't a direct correlation with opinion. They also represent, in this case, a demographic different than that which regularly visits a Nintendo forum.

So far i had more fun with my Wii games then 360 but whatever.

Woah, Carnival Games IS awesome so I'm not sure where you're going with that.

Anyway the majority of gamers and critics on the internet believe the Wii is seriously lacking games compared to the other consoles.

Like I've already said, there's only one genre the Wii does better and that's one Wii owners don't even care about.
