Topic: Official Punch-Out!! Help Thread

So Punch-Out is probably the hardest game of this gen. So I thought it would be benificial to create a thread where anyone needing help can ask questions, and get the answer they need. I already made a thread earlier today about help with Title Defense Mr. Sandman, but I thought it'd be good just to have one go-to place to get help. So...ask away!

I rented it, got to bald bull 5 days before it was due, and never played it again. It was peeving me.

Im having so much trouble with TD Sodapopinski. Does way too much damage. Help!

Alright, so the deal with TD Soda Pop is you pretty much HAVE to memorize his movements. This is because every time you counter attack him you're able to get one more hit on him then you could before. So, for example, the first time you counter attack him you can only hit him twice, but if you dodge his next attack and then counter-hit, you'll be able to get three hits in, the next time four, and so on.

Surprisingly, the easiest way to beat him is to TKO him in round one. That way you only have to memorize one round's worth of attacks. As long as you memorize his pattern for the first round, it'll be a cinch.

Oh, and if you're having trouble with him drinking soda and refilling his health, punch the bottle out of his hand before he drinks, and you'll get a star.

Yeah it is so easy getting stars off of him, but then i always get hit after i get 2. So frustrating!
