Topic: No more playing online games on the Wii? WTF?

Okay, what the love, Nintendo. I love you like I love Disney. Loving, a lot. But when you make decisions as stupid as this, you piss me off.
As of May 20, 2014, you will not be able to play online games on the Wii. Like, you can play Mario Kart, but you can't play with other people online.
Like, what the love? Okay, I understand that maybe It's for money or because now you're focusing on the 3DS and Wii U, and that you've done stuff like this before, like disabling new Wii users from playing GameCube games or with a GameCube controller, but I still LOVE and actually USE my Wii, and this is taking a step TOO far back. Why? Why? I'm sure that like three quarters of the people still using Wiis still use the Wi-Fi!
This means no more playing Super Smash Bros. with your friends, no more shooting and exploding at people in Call of Duty whichever version you play, and no more screaming at your long distance buddies for using the loving sky shots. (Blue shells, that's what they're actually called, and what I usually call them.)
What do you guys think? I think this is bull poopoodoodoocacapoopledoople.

XD Yeah, It DOES really grind my gears. It's just a little rant, I was only i little mad for like, 5 minutes. And in those five minutes I decided to write this post. And It's not that I DON'T want to move on, I just don't have the money plus, It's always nice to come back and relax with a couple of online racing matches in Mario Kart Wii with my friends.
And no, I do not need a Snickers.

Yeah, I was pretty pissed off about it too. They're shutting down online play for the entire Wii and DS catalogue of games that used it. Obviously they don't want to pay money to keep the servers up.

Both systems have been surpassed and are not getting any support anymore. I mean, the 3DS came out 3 years ago.. I'm honestly surprised they've kept the DS servers up this long.

Also, the Wii & DS servers are run by a different company than the 3DS & WiiU servers, so they've been paying two different server holders these past years instead of just one.

IMPORTANT UPDATE:

In another words ALL games will lack wi-fi this 20th may.

The Pay & Play option only will be available.
