Did no one like my sidekick idea because i think that could work really well.Having a group of like 4 characters roaming around like Knights of the Old republic and being able to switch from character to character would be awesome. That would allow for multiplayer and even online maybe. Also opens the door for extra side games??

i like it, except for the 'sidekick' part. I wouldn't want to see just 'sidekicks', i would want actual characters, like in any other fantasy RPG. in FFIV, you can't call Kain, Rydia, Yang, Rosa, Edge, or anyone else in that game a 'sidekick'... same for CT -- you can't call Lucca, Marle, Frog, Magus, or anyone else in that game a 'sidekick' either. i would want each character to have their own backstory and thus contribute to an overall plot that doesn't focus solely on Link saving Hyrule on his own.

Well ya that's what I mean to say. Have 4 or however many characters be able to switch back and forth.Certain areas would need certain characters and certain situations would need certain characters

that way more people could play and at the same time it wouldn't take away from the single player mode.

Although I really don't like his idea, through most of what I said in that post, I was trying (and from your responses, failing) to be funny.Congratulations to BMF JOE for seeing the side I intended my post to be, but sorry to all of you who took it the wrong way, which is mostly my fault. And I also apologise to Geek-Master for criticising your post so heavily. The over-the-top-ness was meant to be more funny than flaming.
I guess this makes time number two... I should really learn to stop doing this kinda thing.

I don't know. I've been told that casual now means a game that has some external reference beyond gaming, so this must be very casual. Even non-gamers can relate to Nazis. I might have to get this for my gram gram.

Here's my idea although a lot of people are going to hate it. Anyways here it goes:
Legend of Zelda: Tiberium of Terror
The game begins 2 months after the events of TP, Ganon returns and Link fights him again and defeats him. 1,000 years pass and Hyrule becomes a futuristic metropolis and Ganon returns. A new hero raises and turns about to be Link's descendant. Now the new Link must stop Ganon from destroying the planet with his ray blaster called the "Tiberium". I think this would be a good idea because we don't know what planet Hyrule is and we've never seen an advancement in technology beyond the medieval times. Twilight Princess is already set in a Western-like era. Anyone who thinks this is a bad idea well that's their own opinion. I really want a "futuristic" Zelda game because the last 2-5 Zelda games have generally been the same plot over and over and I'd like a little more variation.

My idea for a plot for Zelda is to take the story to the beginning and re-tell the story...Include things like who link is and where he came from...Where are his parents...
Here is my idea:
We start the story from the beginning and move through several games tell a continuing story...
We start with Link's father, Link's father is a knight of the Hylian realm. Sworn defender or Hyrule and trusted friend and protector of the king of Hyrule. Link's father is the commander of all the armies of Hyrule. Hylians are a race of elf like people. Strong, agile and graceful. They have prospered in the secluded realm, away from the reaches of man.
As stories go, the antogonist appears, in this case, Ganon (Ganon from the original). Ganon is the general of a fierce and brutal military force from a country unknown and untold. They have their eyes set on the kingdom of Hyrule. As Hyrule is rich both in culture, land and wealth. Ganon's armies slowly march their way into Hyrule. As the armies sweep into Hyrule, they happen upon Mt Doom, home of the Goron's. Although the Goron people are strong, they are not match for the numbers of Ganon and retreat and seal themselves into the mountain (this would be an opening movie sequence, in later games the Goron people would resurface, if nothing else, it would give Link an objective). Upon entering Hyrule Field, a massive battle occurs between Ganon's forces and the Hylian forces. After countless hours of battle, a single contest commenses between Link's father and Ganon (This is where you get to start playing).
After the battle, the game begins...Ganon retreats to the Gerudo desert. Link's father returns to Castle Hyrule. The majority of the game centers around Link's father and a few other key characters in the defense of Hyrule. During the quest, Link's father befriends a military force from another land, enter "man" into Hyrule again. This force is a force of good(Also this force populates Hyrule after this game. That would be why some people have pointed ears and some don't). Ganon's true ambitions are made clear. He is after the Triforce. The Triforce of Courage reside with Link's father. The Triforce of Wisdom risides in the infant daughter of the king, Zelda. And unfortunately the Triforce of Power resides with Ganon as he took this Triforce from the Goron. Through the end of the game, many large scale battles and defense of the land and returning the Triforce of Power to the Goron's main objective. As your tear down Ganon's forces, story professes and Link is born. Un-beknownst (but via cutscene) Ganon's son is born as well, meet Ganondorf. One last battle between Link's father and a few support non-playable characters defeat Ganon and his armies. Link's father returns to his family only to fall ill and pass the Triforce of Courage to Link moments before he dies. Credits roll as the last schene plays. At the end, the link(no pun intended) to the next title is that Ganon gives his Triforce to his son before he dies a few years later.
Now, we start with the new game. Link is 18 and living with his adoptive parents(as his mother passes in between, you would learn of this later). The land is still Hyrule, but many humans live in the kingdom. Link slowly learns about his surroundings and is pulled into the frey just as would expect. This time around, no "gimmick" like we always see. This time, he just wields swords and shields(He also gets stronger and faster, no levels, just intuiative) He must free the Goron's as Ganondorf inprisons them. He visits the inhabtants of Lake Hylia. Battles with the forces of Ganondorf and even visits the Gerudo Desert to fight Ganondorf. Ganondorf ends up kidnapping Zelda as well, you must go after her. You find that Ganondorf is true evil and it is time. Time to get the Master Sword. Link's father was not pure enough, but Link is(And this sword IS more powerful than a normal sword and really stomps anything evil). More larger scale epic battles begin again similar to the original. Link fights Ganondorf and destroys him. (And he stays gone just like his father). Luckily Link lives and Zelda is happy go lucky(She won't sacrifice herself for Minda). The ending sequence gives you a sense of closure.
Now, a third title, well, with the ending, you can go anyway you want. A spinoff like Majora's Mask or continue with Link's story, maybe a child of Link or maybe Zelda. Heck, maybe keep Ganondorf alive and turn him into a hero. But keep new protragonists in the loop.

I would love to see the next Zelda have voice acting. I think it will be a sequel to Twilight Princess. I would like to see a unique plot like Majora's Mask plot was.@Adam-Magic spells were in Oot. I would like to see those spells again. Turn based combat will NOT work with the Zelda series.

I liked the spells too, and turn based combat is NOT AN OPTION, just look at the DragonQuest series. (No offense to anyone who likes them!) I would also like for Link to actually TALK!!!!! I mean really, why doesn't he ever talk, everyone else talks! Sure he talked in the show, but that DOESN'T COUNT!
I think it would also be cool if they made a game where you play as Ganondorf or kind of an OoT remake where you can play as Sheik.
And @ Danny August, that would be a really cool idea for Zelda!

The "spells" in Ocarina were items. I know it functions the same way, but to me it's not the same, and they didn't have the same range of effects like Zelda II had.

You begin the game as Dark Link and your goal is to conquer Hyrule. You'll go from town to town fighting the heroes that reside there and captureing the town. You'll be accompanied by a dark fairy that gives you hints on how to better destroy certain towns. The last battle will come down between Link and Dark Link at the castle. You must defeat Link and kidnap Zelda.
The next game could be you playing as Link and doing just the opposite.
See, two games that are exactly the same, but alternate views. I like it.
