Topic: New Super Mario Bros. Wii Super Skills

Posts 1 to 20 of 26

If you go to the Nintendo Channel you will see a new NSMBWii trailer named "Super Skills" that gives many tips to do in the game, specially lots of 1 ups and some multiplayer tricks.

I liked that everytime they got a 1up there were applauses in the BG hehehe

Go and check it out. Is actually pretty cool.

Just watched it awhile ago myself. The levels do continue to look unimpressively easy; however, bouncing off enemies looks as fun as ever, and I can only imagine this being more fun with more players, so I'm still excited about this.

I loved the levels a lot. Cannot wait to play thru them! I don't think my friends would appreciate that. knowing them they will be more busy throwing everybody to their doom.

Looks can be deceiving Adam.

I'm well aware, LZ, but all I can go on right now are looks, so that's what I'll do. It is a day one purchase for me no matter what skeptical remarks I may occasion to make, so don't think I won't give it a fair chance.

The same can be said with every Mario platformer.

I believe it will be easy for single-player, but fantastically frantic in multiplayer: competition to get the most coins, leading to constant deaths due to jumping on each other's heads, leading to intentionally throwing your friends into danger, leading to all manner of disarray. Basically, I'm thinking it will be a lot like 4 Swords, which always led to the most amusing in-fighting when I managed to get 4 people together to play it. Especially couples, who would end up hating each other by the end of the level. Good times... Nintendo and marriage counseling all in one. So much better than NERF bats.

I might be the only one here who get's that reference!
But the way Miyamoto was talkin' at his roundtable today it seems like the games gonna be pretty darn difficult in the later levels. The sand levels I've seen look really challenging.

Looks very good, the game is shaping up to be an fantastic title. Now that I heard that Tatsunko Vs. Capcom isn't coming this year, should I get this game or Muramasa: The Demon Blade for Christmas?

On topic, love the video. Hopefully, the game is actually challenging.

@Ramandus: Adam does have a point. He might be right. New Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Galaxy, and Super Mario World are easy to very easy. But he could be wrong too.

Me, wrong? Never happened before. I don't believe it!

But really, I never said it is easy, just that it looks easy, so I can't be right or wrong in this instance. It could well be that they chose the easiest levels as the best ones for super plays, who knows. I'm judging based on the sparse platform and enemy layout, not the player's skill, as I'm sure I could not do these things (except the bullet bill yoshi part, of course).

... especially when you're attempting to show it off to your fanbase, so you bring in a ringer to breeze through everything so the video goes smoothly. :3

I'm gonna try something a bit risky and controversial. I'm gonna wait and see.

Rawr!

Machu, I'm reporting that comment. That is just too controversial for this forum.

**gasp** you... you mean you're going to... hold off judgement until the product hits shelves? perhaps even until you've played the game for yourself?! D:
