hi guys! so heres my story, I had 2 wii's one wasnt working, when i turned it on its screen would go black. the other, worked fine, so the wii that worked i came to the realization that it doesnt have the gamecube slots as its the blue console, and my red wii does, so i took them both apart, unscrewed everything, and when i realized i had to using a soddering iron, I gave up on the idea, I know stupid not to realize it in first place, but the situation now, when i turn my wii on, it goes to a black screen, i know it turns on because the cd drive makes the noise it usually does on boot up, I cant figure out whats going on! any help will be appreciated thanks in advanced

My suggestion buy a new Wii and this time don't take it apart.

You could've disconnected something while taking it apart.

Really all you can do is opening it again to see what you did wrong and try to fix it. Or taking it to some person who knows how to fix wiis.

Or getting a new one.

I don't think many of us in this site would be able to help you (and keep in mind this site is not affiliated with Nintendo).

You can try looking for images of what a healthy Wii should look on the inside, so you can compare it to yours.

Like would you say they make a critical difference between the screen being black and not being black?

Have a look at the post on GBAtemp where it was first documented that it was possible.

(I thought about doing it myself and then didn't bother as getting another Wii was dirt cheap).
