Has there ever been some part in a video game that gave you goosebumps, or made you emotional? My most recent epic moment was in SMG when the volcano erupted. chills
In the WW when the king wishes hyrule to be flooded. Also, in TP when Ganondorf dies. It always creeps me out, with the whole zant thing. At the end of Drawn to Life, I cried.
I remember my first play-through of Suikoden II, I got very, very angry at more than a couple points in the story (i won't spoil them though :3). It's not that it was a bad story, it's that I greatly disagreed with some of the characters' choices in the game. I still do, but i've calmed down about it all since that first playthrough, lol. :3

For me, it was playing Ocarina of Time on the original hardware again. I felt so stupid after I found out that you had to get the Zelda-bird-thing (I forget what it's called) from the worker's daughter to wake him up and move from the spot that blocked my way into the castle. Ah, the times when gaming was still innocent.

But no seriously I think mine would have to be when in Metal Gear Solid, Grey Fox gets killed by Liquid when hes in Metal Gear Rex. Sad and yet pretty unexpecting with a heavy dose of epicness! ...if thats even a word
Do awesome moments count? -I was playing Uncharted 2, and I got to the level where you're running from train car to train car. I was on the roof of one train car, grappling with the enemy, when I saw one of those railroad lights that hang over the train tracks coming towards me. It only took up half the roof, but I was almost dead center. The enemy grabbed me, but I decided not to press anything because I didn't want Drake to lean forward and get nailed by the railroad light. So, I just stood there, and right before the enemy hit me, the railroad light smacks him off the train and leaves me unscathed! So cool!
-When Link travels through time for the first time in Ocarina of Time. -In Baten Kaitos: Origins, when you find out what Malpercio really was and where Guillo came from. Fighting Wiseman and the Black Dragon. These parts were just awesome. Also, not to mention, listening to the soundtrack for this game.
-The ending to Klonoa. -Finding out about Ninian and Nils' secret in the first localized Fire Emblem, especially when Eliwood attacks Ninian. -Listening to the opening for Twilight Princess -When Mr. Ford betrays you in the Conduit -The ending to Metal Gear (at various parts). Not to mention the whole Microwave Hallway thing. That part was so well done. -Playing Call of Duty 4 for the first time, the opening level where the ship starts sinking and you gotta get off! The nuclear blast level.

The ending of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (there'd be spoilers, but everyone knows the end). I still get chills when Ganondorf claws out of the rubble and transforms, the music starts, and one single word appears on the screen...
GANON
The King of Evil needs no other introduction, mwahahaha.
Lieutenant Commander of the Lesbian Love Brigade
There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.
There is a moment during the second level of the Mega Drive and Arcade game Strider. At the bottom of the enemy base Hiryu faces off against a giant robotic gorilla, he navigates upward past spinning, spiked cogs and climbs higher to defeat the bounty hunter, Solo. The hunter becomes the prey... and that is when it happens. The music changes pace to a panicked whirl and he is sent rushing down a Siberian cliff side. Picturesque purple mountains and foreground trees whiz by as he glides down successively sharper drops; cunningly placed explosives erupt behind him, forcing his ongoing charge. At the very bottom there is a sudden, shocking leap of faith. Hiryu is faced with a huge gap, which only a perfectly timed leap will clear. Safely on the other side, he slices a few wolves, seconds before bolts of lightening shoot out of metallic enemy contraptions, sending the entire foreground screen into darkness. It continues to flash back and forth, between the dark and the light. It may seem tame now, it is all mere pixels and sprites, but back in 1989/1990 it was completely epic. Strider is packed full to the brim with retro awesomeness.
I am passionate about retro gaming, from antiquated consoles to the continuation of classics. Obviously I love PSone, and PS2 retro games. I blast my ears to breakneck melodic punk, gruff vocals and nimble alternative guitar hooks.
At the end of Final Fantasy X when Yuna runs into Tidus' arms and she falls right through him as he's fading away. Very emotional after a fantastic game. Still gets me when I see it.
Uncharted 2....... crazy firefight that get really really heated in a really war torn and very tall building, helicopter start really pushing some fire into it and all of a sudden the whole building starts coming right out from under your feet, thing get really frantic from there....... Man, after Uncharted 2, it's kind of unfair. That entire train sequence was probably the most epic thing that I can remember from 30 years of playing video games:)
That being said, there's also some crazy stuff in Gears of War 2 and Resident Evil 4/5. Both God of Wars as well (it's very hard for Chains of Olympus to pull it off, since it's portable). Shadow of the Colossus is loaded with epic moments. Twilight Princess's boss from the "City in the Sky" dungeon near the end of the game - the dragon fight in the rain? That was probably the most awesome thing I can think of from a Nintendo game though.
Though come to think of it, Jet Force Gemini probably had the most epic boss battles I can think of from a Nintendo game. That game is HARD to complete, and all those bosses are jerks. They're huge too. Especially the boss fight that Lupus the dog had to go through, with TWO giant mantis robots? That's something you don't see too often - the rare boss double team against the player. Killer game; insanely epic boss fights.
Gotta go with the whole Ganon thing in Ocarina of Time...I get chills from seeing him transform into THAT. (and the music is just awesome) I also got chills from Metroid Prime's 1 and 3's hidden endings. (2 wasn't all that great)
EDIT: Poor Lupis...I never did beat that game...I need to sometime.
