To quote from a website:Reggie on Metroid: Other M possibly being M-rated, teases MotionPlus support for Galaxy 2.Will Metroid: Other M be the first M-rated Metroid title? Probably not, but President and COO of Nintendo of America Reggie Fils-Aime wouldn’t rule it out. He said that the game won’t necessarily be given a mature rating and that fans shouldn’t look into the term “Project M” too much. Yet it’s still interesting that Reggie simply didn’t say “no” to the possibility of Other M being M-rated.
Big Metroid surprise. We’ve been holding this one very close to the vest to make sure that the surprise would be there. Not only the game itself looks fabulous but also this collaboration with Team Ninja, which has been very fruitful, very great work together. Not necessarily [M-rated]. At this point, it is very early, we said it’s a title that’s going to come out in 2010. Really, Project M is our internal terminology for the collaboration for what’s being done. Don’t read into it as to what the ESRB will be.”
Reggie also spoke about Super Mario Galaxy 2. He promises that the game will have new hooks to it. Also surprising is that MotionPlus support was teased.
''There are new hooks to it. We’re not announcing exactly what those are. We showed a little taste of what happens with Yoshi, so that’s a new addition to the Galaxy experience. Will it work with MotionPlus or not? We’re going to keep you in suspense a little bit longer on that, but it is obviously going to advance the ball. We feel it has to in order to carry the Mario name.
If Metroid:Other M is possibly M-Rated,what goodies are Team Ninja going to show in this game [imagines Samus in a bikini] game?Super Mario Galaxy 2+Wii MotionPlus=INSTANT WIN!!

What would you need Motion Plus in Mario for? Not that I'm doubting it but...I can't think of any good reasons

Maybe the for the parts where you ride on top of the ball....I wasn't too much of a fan of how it controlled in the first Galaxy, but that's just me.

If samus appear on a Bikini i hope it's only the 100% reward, like in the old Metroids

Psht, do you seriously think Nintendo will cut their audience (and revenue) in half by rating it M? The performance of past M titles on Wii has not been good.
I made Kid Tripp! PocketGamer gave it a 9 out of 10! You should totally buy it now!

Yeah Nintendo please be like more like xbox/ps3 sexist machines.... Bleurgh... How about if teen-guys would have the ability to see a cool mature woman with clothes on instead of gaming porn and btw learn to treat the female sex equally and respectfully? Metroid doesn't need red blood, gore or TnA, if that happens i will burn the disc upon release, WHO'S WITH ME?

It's called telling your audience what they want to hear. He was telling this to a guy at IGN, and of course they think M-rated games are naturally better than E for Everyone.

Hey,the NES Metroid had Samus in a bikini,so I think Metroid:Other M should have the same thing!

If they institute the Wiimotionplus on Mario Galaxy 2, then I'm all for it. Not sure how it would fit in, but if they are going to make this newer addition, then why not have bit titles support it?

Motionplus would likely be used for new Trial Galaxy segments.
I don't think Metroid will be M-rated. In fact, reading between the lines Reggie somewhat denied it. Other M still fits in with the Nintendo philosophy of pleasing everyone. Sales began to stagnate for the Prime series so now they're mixing it up for both new audiences and fans. I highly doubt they'd make it M-rated just to please some 360 fanboys.
Abandon hope all ye who enter here.

I don't care if Metroid: Other M is M rated or not (Althought if so, then I could keep my cousin out of it and it'll be My pleasure and Mine only), I cannot wait for it! But how is MotionPlus going to benefit Super Mario Galaxy 2?

Oh my g... Guys... bikinis don't make a game M.
16. Posted: Sun 7th Jun 2009 21:10 BST
@zane: high fives I'm with you man! Took the words right out of my mouth
As for WMP with Galaxy 2......what's there to do? Okay, you could throw it in for a few minigames (ie-the ball one), butt thats about it.

I guess she won't be wearing the bikini then, if it's M. Mmm.

@Adam: No, bikinis do make M games, if there's enough.....er........"baggage" in them. Example: Team Ninja's own bouncy DOA Xtreme Beach Volleyball series.
19. Posted: Sun 7th Jun 2009 21:31 BST
I was implying that she would take the bikini off, not arguing anything. The trailer shows they aren't inflating her anymore than she already is, anyway. I'd be disappointed in Nintendo if they did allow it to be M-rated for similar reasons, but I'd still play it.

DOA Xtreme Beach Volleyball can't be compared to one single instant where you see Samus in a bikini. DOA was all about fantasizing about the women every second of the game, it was made for that single purpose. If there is one instance where Samus is wearing a bikini and she does have some baggage it wouldn't be M, I don't think.
