Okay, the voice acting IS terrible. They all sound like Microsoft Sam.

Listen up nintenden, it is NOT pronounced Zeebs! Proof below, I really don't think Nintendo would let an improper pronunciation slip into a game like Brawl. And now that they have an actual pronunciation of it in a Metroid game, we know for certain how it's supposed to be pronounced.

I can't freakin wait! And man... Samus is so beautiful drool

O.O soooo awesome!!!! I love that remake of SM's last fight, and giving a connection between the baby metroid and Samus, brilliant; always felt bad about how Samus hadn't cared about its sacrifice and moved on with her life. This familiar event giving pase to a hole new story, I'm so pleased with this.
Graphics are impressive too, and yes, Samus looks very sexy, good for you lucky guys .

guys, the voice acting is supposed to be robotic. have you not noticed the location or atmosphere of the scene? have you not seen the trailer and heard the voices in that that sound normal and concluded, "hey. maybe it's not like this all the time and is used here for a specific reason. hmmm." come on, guys. and yes, i understand that it's correctly pronounced "Zebbess." i know Ninty wouldn't pronounce one of their own ideas wrong in their own game, i was just joking, because all my life i've grown up thinking it was "Zeebs". don't get so riled up by a video.

Samus mentioned the baby metroid in Metroid Fusion, so it's not like it was completely forgotten.

And Nintendo has removed the video...

Let's hope they also find and punish the guy who broke their golden rule...

Finally saw it, and I'm not feeling the voice acting—it sounds too stale and a bit robotic. I suppose it's Nintendo's call on how 'Zebes' ('Zee-bees' to me) is pronounced, but 'Zeh-bess'? Sounds too odd to me, and so does Samus 'Eh-ren' (Ah-ran to me) from the E3 trailer. These gripes are pretty inane, though, since the game looks absolutely terrific...

I'm attempting to finish Super Metroid now in anticipation of this. Very fun. :3

@pixelman: Awesome, enjoy what is—in my opinion—the epitome of the Metroid series...

@Metroid_Fan: I think I agree with that. I've played (mind you, not completed by any means) all of the Metroid games, and I think Super Metroid is by far the moodiest and most fun to explore in. The Prime games are alright, but I don't like the first person aspect. The only thing I really don't like about Super Metroid is the jump physics (and the wall jumping, oh my God. ) - they feel a bit too floaty for me. I think Zero Mission really nailed the jumping.

Anyway, yeah. Other M looks spectacular. I just hope you get down on a planet somewhere and are able to explore some lush 3D environments. All of the footage (besides a volcano-y area) has seemingly been from inside a spaceship, which has me a bit worried...

i didn't like the voice acting initially, but I guess you have to hear it in context. i dount that nintendo will frak up. if this is their vision in a complete package it will be stellar.
