Thanks for removing the spoilers. I was getting scared to post on this topic in fear of ruining the rest of the game for me. xD
Metroid: Other M has been quite an experience so far. Sure, I'm only an hour in, but the hour I've played has been great. My only problem is that knowing that you're in a holographic ship kinda detracts from the awesomeness of the area. If you know the area you are in isn't real, then it really isn't as great as thinking you're in the real thing. D: I also don't like the whole authorization aspect of the game. Being held back by the orders of the Galactic Federation isn't nearly as fun as flying solo.
Other than those minor inconveniences the game has been spectacular and I can't wait to see how the story unfolds!

The speed booster definitely made a triumphant return here. Regarding KingBuilder's comment, I must say I actually like the holographic areas. And once you see how it ties into the story, it's even more satisfying

@KingBuilder: Not all of the environments are holographic...

I read something today actually on the Metroid wiki about at least one scan in the North American version that was inconsistent, actually. I wish I could remember what it was. Doesn't really matter to me, but I hate giving an example and not being able to cite specifics.
Come on, friends,

Finally picked up my copy today! I was going to pass on this one for now but I got a free Gamer magazine in the mail from Best Buy. It had a coupon for $15 off Metroid : Other M so I couldn't pass it up.
I seriously can't believe how beautiful the cutscenes are! Probably the best looking game on the Wii! I've only played about an hour or so but I'm liking it so far.

...Now I'm afraid to go into my own thread (where Panda changed my title for some weird reason...), and...stuck again. It's the part where you're forced to stay in first-person mode and have to defeat these giant...beetle things, I keep missiling them all to death but can never kill them all...they kill me eventually...ugh. T_T
I love Erica (Strike Witches), Eureka (Eureka Seven), and Tenma (School Rumble), stay away from them. xD
Update: Also love Yukari and Mizore from Rosario + Vampire.
Another Update: Also Yuuki...from School Rumble...
Yet Another Update: Also Amber and Xiao Pai from Rune Factory 4.

@Bell: That was just covered in your thread, actually, just look for my post with all the crossed out text...

..............Ugh, they kill you in seconds, hard to kill...and all you have to do is that. xD

@Bell: Yup, those bugs suck, and if you're planning to get 100% collection rate, prepare to face them again later on (one at a time, though, thankfully)...

This game is awesome!! With one hand I am inserting, removing and reinserting the disc, with the other hand I'm having a cup of tea and a smoke. Wow!

The pre-order bonus was very lame. (The game is great though) I thought it was going to be concept art and such, but instead you get flash cards with screenshots on them with a breif description on the back. It came in a cool cover though.

I have a question for the people that completed Other M. There are 6 ´real sectors´, at least, that is what they tell you in the beginning. Are you able to play in all 6 of them or just the first 3?

There are no sectors 4-6. I didn't even know there were supposed to be.

I just changed the thread title for clarification, as someone said that it was unclear or something.

Sorry, it seems to be my fault. When Adam was giving instructions, he was giving them to 6 persons or so. He gave the first 3 orders to check one of the first three sectors each. Because I was a little tired while I was watching it on youtube, I assumed that the others had to check other sectors. Sorry, my bad.

Don't be fooled, Bell. He did it because he is a tyrant driven mad by his endless powers.
The most editsome edit of all: Well, I beat the game, and I can now say for certain that I enjoyed this much more than all the Prime games put together. It is basically Fusion 3D with a little Prime seasoning. Definitely ranks up there with the best of the series. I authorize and encourage everyone to play this game.

NotEnoughGolds, I've beaten the game once or twice. But starting with 30 energy is not teaching you to survive. It's teaching you how to be bored to death. Refilling all those energy tanks is not remotely fun. Challenge should be through good, fun level design (which it has), not the unrelenting tedium of killing those infinitely spawning enemies over and over. And yea, Ridley is easy. I find Kraid is really tough though. His missiles are overwhelming, so I just spaz out on the attack button and make sure I have a ton of energy tanks before. I find him harder than Mother Brain, actually.
Survivors don't need to fill up on infinitely spawning enemies. It's plenty easy to just grab E-Tanks along the way to killing the bosses - granted, that's not so easy on the first playthrough which is why I never legitimately beat the game until about a month ago.Anyway, for Kraid, you just need to acquire the ice beam, jump right up next to him so that your arm cannon is pretty much inside of him, and just press fire as past as you possibly can. And of course, grab the E-Tank if you get low on Energy.
Why am I talking about other Metroid games so much in this thread? Possibly because you guys are much further into the game than I am. I just entered Sector 2 for the first time.
I'm actually happy Adam didn't authorize the Varia Suit right away. It allowed me to use Concentration whenever I wanted.

Sheesh, with you people talking about Kraid all the time I thought he was gonna show up in Other M. xD
