Is there others who are just as pumped up about this game as much as I am? I would love it it they would get some Wi-Fi action going on with this version, but that's probably wishful thinking. Anyways from what I can tell it's centering around the Civil War era of Marvel comics.
What are you hoping they add? What are you hoping the take away?
For me: Add - Wi-fi
Take away - Crappy characters ie.... Luke Cage, Dr. Strange, Miss Marvel.
I'm very stoked about it. The characters you want them to lose are my favourites though; Luke Cage is already confirmed though I hate his "no-neck" character model as seen in the ads.
I hope they'll make motion control optional as they seem to have messed that up a bit; either that or do better debugging so it works properly. Classic Controller support would be nice as an alternative as well. Use icons for powers that are easier to make out; given how many there were, there wasn't enough detail to always tell what the heck was in that little box when toggling them in-game.
I'm hoping they'll keep what worked well in the original game which I've replayed at least six times. I'd love to be able to make a full original Defenders team, so in addition to Dr. Strange and Silver Surfer, I hope to see The Hulk and Namor the Sub Mariner!
I personally was hoping they'd make a direct sequel to the first game since that ended with Galactus threatening revenge upon Earth for his humiliating defeat.
Character-wise I'm not that fussed; mostly I'd like to see the following return from the first game:
Dr. Strange Luke Cage (confirmed) Black Panther Ms. Marvel Silver Surfer Ghost Rider Blade Spider Woman
And I'd love to see these guys added:
Namor Nova (get some more cosmic action!) Man-Thing (just for fun; I know there's probably no real chance of this happening) Wonder Man Black Knight Nighthawk Captain Marvel (both versions)
I'm pretty exited (and surprised) by the addition of Iron Fist. I'd also really like to see Moon Knight and Black Panther make the playable list, but I dunno if that's going to happen. Considering the Civil War storyline plays a big part of the game I think the addition of Venom and Green Goblin were a bit of an odd decision. At this point I'm a bit skeptical about the motion control and sincerely hoping it's purely optional. Does anybody know if they've said anything else about that? I haven't been able to find any details as of yet.
Details of any kind are pretty thin on the ground. I suspect there's going to be more of a difference graphically between the versions of this game than the 1st one...
I'm just glad they're going with the Marvel Civil War storyline (I read some of that series and it's very good!)
Yes, but I wonder just how close they'll stick to the actual storyline?
I just hope they make it to where you can play with either motion control or standard style. Some of the things in MUA1 were a little difficult to do with the motion controls.
as far as i have heard, it's fairly similar (although they included Hulk into the storyline, despite him being missing throughout the original story)
I'm happy he's a part of it though. Nothing like a little HULK SMASH to set the mood.
