Topic: mario kart wii + classic controller = "cheating"?

i know its not neccesarily cheating to use a classic controller, but i just feel like a jerk playing online with one because i do feel that it gives an advantage over wii remote users. when i win i feel guilty. the thing is my left wrist hurts & ends up all stiff when i use the wii remote but i do it anyway. can anyone convince me that classic controllers are fair? & how about your thoughts on advantages & dis-advantages?

The Classic Controller was a control option that Nintendo themselves put in the game. That's not cheating. However, if you hacked the game and got all the best items all the time, that would be cheating. Use the control scheme that feels most comfortable to you. I'm not sure if using the Classic Controller is better than using the Wii Wheel, but don't let that cause guilt! You might just be a really good Mario Kart player!

Yeah, i don't think that's cheating. My personal order of preference is Gamecube Controller > Classic Controller > Wii Remote + Nunchuk > Wii Remote + Wii Wheel.

it's not cheating to use an available option that Nintendo put into the game themselves. :3

I actually perfer the classic controller setup when playing Mario Kart Wii but thats cause I grew up playing Super Mario Kart and Mario Kart 64. The wheel just doesnt feel natural to me no matter how much I try to use it I just cant do good lol.

Its not cheating if the game offers the option now if you hacked the game or system to give you that option than that would be cheating. The way I look at it they want everyone to have a fair advantage no matter what there style of play is.

I was told the C stick in brawl was cheating.

If you really like to game you will use the most responsive controller option.. not some gimmicky motion crap.. If you're getting your kicked because you use a "wii-wheel" you have no one to blame but yourself

Someone told me that the c stick is an easier way to use smash attacks, but I never use it. Also, that kid must have only been able to win with items. In fact, having items off is sometimes the most fair way to play.

you're not cheating if nintendo allows you too. Really, if nintendo thought it would be unfair, they wouldn't put it in.

I feel this whenever I'm playing some poor chap named "Dad" who has an ugly golden wheel and is flying off of the track and slamming into walls. Then I remember that he's named "Dad", and I feel less guilty.
