The last 4 times I have played mario kart wii online there has been at least 1 hacker ruining the fun. Its really annoying when you can't play because of this. Each time a hacker gets in one spot and drops bombs constantly and noone can move. Anyone else having this happen a lot?

I've heard of things like this (and I believe it) but I've been fortunate enough never to encounter a hacker. Luck of the draw, I guess.

Playing with one right now, as soon as the race started I was hit with a red shell. Plus they have infinite bullit bill...

Why would anyone even think this is fun...?

Its pretty pathetic that there are people out there that have to go out of their way to be a douche.

I remember racing one time and this guy was ALWAYS way out in the lead. What's even funnier is that he ALWAYS had tons of red shells. I kept thinking "how in the world is this guy in first AND keeps getting all these red shells"? I never knew about the hackers until then.

I can't help but feel sorry for people like that. It's a pity that they can't use real talent to play the game and have to resort to being such miserable s.o.b.'s.

I have encountered many... it sucks!

I've not encountered it yet but it puzzles me as to why anyone would do this. I just don't see the point in competing against other people if you're not actually going to compete - you may as well just cheat against the computer. Strange.

They just get off on ruining other people's fun.

That said, I'm actually considering trading my copy in. I hardly play it anymore. I just find it more frustrating than fun, most of the time. MK DS is a much better game.

Definitely. After awhile it seemed no one played it online though, so I traded that in, too. Can't wait for the original on VC though.

It has happened to me a few times, I hate when the hacker is one of those guys that just want to win, that's so irritating; but there were a couple of times I found some mischief makers just doing some mayhem with tons of bombs and blue shells, thet didn't even care if they hit themselves, it was crazy, and kind of fun , I even won one time, still, this hacking is definitely not a good thing, most of the time it ruins the fun.

Hm. I didn't notice any big drop-off in games. I still manage to find good games to be had. Obviously, I don't play it all the time though.
