Topic: Mario Kart Wii: Karts or Bikes?

Which do you think is better, Karts or Bikes? I personally like bikes more because of their tighter drift and wheelies (which is really all they have over the karts).

I prefer karts because you can push bikes out of the way. Plus I have better control over karts than bikes (that Sneakster bike is hard to get used to).

Bikes. The wheelies are very useful and the drift on the mach bike is great.

P.S. Also I prefer medium characters to light or heavy ones.

@Qwerty: 100% agree. I'm always using the mach bike, and no heavy character's bikes/karts really have great drift. As for small characters, they're pushed around alot and don't have a high top speed usually.

I actually like both. I mainly use bikes though.

Bikes, especially the Mach Bike.

Same. Luigi + Mach Bike = killer combo.

I use all kinds of vehicles, although I prefer the bullet bike for worldwide, but in fact I don't mind bikes that much and I hate that they ARE better, look out for the best time trial ghosts, always bikes , all the best gamers use bikes, and always the mach or bowser's, of course there is always a posibility for every vehicle in the midle of the chaos, but still, this has became Mario Bike Wii.

The fact that they made the bike too good (some of them at least) made me dislike them, and I refuse to use them. And it's still Mario KART, not Mario ExciteBike. That game was made a long time ago, and if they wanted to see Mario on a bike they should've made a sequel to that, and leave the bikes outta this game. I swear those Funky Kongs and Daisy's on bikes online are getting on my nerves.

Eh well. Guess it's no use complaining since they're already in the game.

It's a real shame, and I hope Nintendo realise their mistake when they look at all the Time Trial leaders. Whilst i know I have the advantage on corners (double turbo), there's nothing more heart breaking than having someone wheelie past you on a bike (the speed on some of them is sick). The only defence is to try and bash them whilst they are on one wheel.

I will never be part of the Mario Kart Wii Elite, simply because I stubbornly stay faithful to karts.

It is pretty sad that Karts are losing their spotlight, and now it's hard for me to play double dash because I'm not used to the drift. I still hope bikes are in the next game, but maybe they could give the Kart something extra...

Karts all the way. I only play with the wheel, and I find the bikes way too sensitive. I used to just use heavyweights, and for the first time in the MK series I have moved to a lightweight. I like dry bones heaps, and since using him have been able to rate a fair bit higher in online.

I have never been a purist, so I go with the bikes because I play better with many of them, as long as they have good acceleration and handle comfortably. Some of them feel weird on the drifts, causing me to hit walls, so I avoid the ones I can't control. Oddly, I don't play the lightweights nearly as much in this game, whereas in Double Dash the lightweights were my key to winning all the Grand Prix tournaments.
