Topic: Mario Kart Galactic!

Wouldn't it be cool if nintendo made a mario kart game for wii, dedicated around the galaxies of mario galaxy 1&2. An alternative would be having a racing game which incorporated the fluzzards in MG2. The throwback galaxy could contain races from the very first game and more levels would be included with boss battles, like the missions in MKDS.

Ha, I might enjoy a Mario Kart game (or perhaps just a course) with shifting gravity. It just sounds like one more opportunity for mayhem, which is the reason I play Mario Kart in the first place.

It would certainly be more interesting than bikes or having a second player throw items. And any similarity to MKDS would be in its favor. If they're going to continue making MK64-ish games, they need something different like this. If they're not making another F-Zero, a space-themed Mario Kart with gravity effects would be the next best thing. I think gravity would be more interesting in Kart than in platformer Mario, actually.

Space is boring, and is not needed for shifting gravity.

This reminds me of Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity.

What if it weren't even a cart race? What if it was more of a plane race or rocket race?

I just want A "Mario" kart with all the Nintendo characters.

The whole idea just sounds "Meh" to me.

Rainbow Road in Mario Kart Wii is based on Galaxy. That enough for you?

I do think the Galaxy games would be a rich source of unusual settings for Mario Kart, and it would be particularly awesome if they did power-ups on each level that matched the galaxy. Imagine if you were suddenly riding in a bee and could fly over part of the course, for instance.

This kind of thing could be really cool, if implemented in a not completely gamebreaking way. I'm still pretty happy with MK Wii, I'd love to see a more "serious" racer like F-Zero or Extreme G (anyone know why we haven't seen THAT on the Wii yet? loved the N64 and GCN versions).

The whole idea reminds me of the last boss race in Crash Racing. That was fun, and it would be a great idea. And you could have characters like Mario, Luigi, Rosalina, Yoshi, Luma's, Big fat purple Luma, the wood people, toads and the rabbits. It could be so diverse.

I would love that idea. I remember Crash Nitro Kart had tracks that involved gravity defying roads and those were awesome too so I can only see Nintendo doing that better.
