Hardy, it's not over. Media summits are for disclosing media. Strains the mind a bit, I know. The press portion is not supposed to be the highlight. By tonight will have new videos and pictures of all these games, which is the emphasis of the event.
Of course, I too wonder why they have to gather the media in a building to do this rather than just sending the stuff online or by mail, but either way we get our goodies, and that's all that matters to me.
Nintendo's purpose is to hype known releases with release dates and more complete footage, which I'm sure will be accomplished. I'm already hyped for Cave Story and Mega Man 10 from what's been revealed so far. I'm really eager to see if there will be footage of Other M shown later along with the promised SMG2 video that we should be able to view online by tonight.
Hey -- one final, very promising note: Nintendo of America staff just tracked me down and told me not to worry -- that orchestrated music is being implemented into the final version of Galaxy 2. Very good news indeed!
YEAHHH!!!! That orchestrated music on SMG2 issue was the only stain on this event for me... thanks for that one
Really, if you consider the scope of this event (first half of the year) it couldn't have gone better. We get the media, AND the release dates. In many ways, that beats E3 right there.
Wow, just wow... this is a helluva year for Nintendo.
