So, what do you think? Do you think it might actually be good? WIll you pick it up? It's only $40 as opposed to the $50 for most Wii games. Will you get ask for it for Christams? (and then break it out on New Years ). What do you think?
P.S. It was posted in another thread that NL is doing a review of this, so we'll know even more soon.

Scored higher than Shiren: The Wanderer and Excitebike: World Rally. Once again, reviewers disappoint me.

Actually, believe it or not, this game actually is pretty good. My mom got the first Just Dance ignoring my advising her not to. While that game wasn't SO bad it certainly wasn't exactly great or even good. Well my mom liked that enough to go out and get Just Dance 2. I've played it extensively and have concluded that the sequal is by far better than the first. The music selection is better, the presentation is better, the controls are better although they're are still quite far from perfect. Even thought he game doesn't pick up you movements right on all the time, it really isn't the kind of game you really compete with score. I personally use it as a means of exercise and its working marvelously. Also, you can really tell that Ubisoft had put quite a large amount of love into this one and it has a polish about it that comes close to rivaling even Nintendo's polishing skills. Their dedication really shows in the fact that they included an online store for buying new tracks. While there is only 3 purchaseable and one free track available online right now, more will be coming. And even though the songs are a bit pricey at 3 bucks each, it still says alot that Ubi cared enough to implement the store in the first place. Overall I very much like this game(I know, it was a shock to me to) and hope a third is coming.

Thanks for your impressions bboy. This game is definitely on my radar. It seems that if you go into this with an open mind and don't expect a super long extensive game, it could be a lot of fun.

Michael Jackson: the experience is coming!!

Which of course is also made by Ubisoft. Let's just hope they don't pull an Activision on us.

Yes Michael Jackson: the experience looks also very good, or at least as good as these one.

I probably would buy the Michael Jackson game but I'm not a very big fan of his music so I'll pass.

ITT - hardcore games wonder at the popularity of a casual game.

What surprises me is that hardcore gamers still don't understand casual games. At all. Just Dance 2 is quite good for what it is. It's the same reason that Dance Central is an absolutely amazing experience, even though it doesn't involve headshots and online cussing from kids who have yet to enter puberty.

It looks like a great game. I don't recognize half the tracks but it still looks awesome! Seems like one of those to hang out with casuals for.

I'm sure it's a good game, judging from the response. It's just not my kind of game though. The casual players will really enjoy it.

Suda51 liked the first one, so can't be really bad. Could try Just Dance 2 a bit and was funny, but I prefer Dance Central eith Kinect because looks more polished and better control. IMO.

I played it and some of the gesture recognition has been improved it seems. It's also easier to tell when you're gaining points or not due to an improved interface. That annoying status bar is no longer bigger than the words saying perfect, great, etc. so you feel a greater sense of reward when getting said accolades. Also the addition of DLC is definitely a nice touch.

BTW, I played it at Best Buy, looked like an idiot and enjoyed every minute of it.

@Waltzelf
I don't exactly consider myself a "hardcore" gamer, but Just Dance definitely had it's problems. I see why a huge chunk of Wii owners like it and everything but the big put off for me was very poor gesture recognition. I never really had a clue as to how sensitive the motion was. Was I to make jerking motions while I dance or was it just sensitive enough where I could flail my arms and get a better response? Also some sort of career mode or any sort of single player fluff would've been nice. As is, the original Just Dance feels like it could've been, with a few less songs of course, a WiiWare game.

I just read the IGN UK review and yes, it was very positive but at the same time, isn't IGN UK typically WAY more generous than the US branch?

So I know Jon said he had a review copy of this. I know you guys are busy but I was just wondering if the review would be up soon? Don't mean to sound pushy (but I probably do anyway) I'm just wondering. Thanks!
