hello, i just watched some trailers and gameplay videos of the game and i think it looks really interesting but the thing is i think it looks somehow to games like assasins creed or world of warcraft and i dont really like those games XD So im asking if it is worth to buy it, is the story good? how about gameplay?

thanks

No, it's not like those at all. It's a great jrpg. Do your self a favor and pick it up. It's been out for a while so the online is pretty empty but it's worth it regardless. It is arguably the best game xseed put out for the Wii. Well that and Rune Factory. Anyways pick it up. You wont be sorry.

The story is great btw. It received a very nice translation. It is an active battle jrpg tho. It's not xenoblade but xenoblade is a closer comparison than ac3 or warcrap.

I liked the game over all, for a game with story in the title though it wasn't half predictable and I mean the whole way through the game, thankfully the actual characters where quite likeable in this game so that helped balance the predictable storyline, as for the gameplay I thought the battles where a lot of fun took me a little while to make sense of it all, but really helped set it apart, felt like a solid 7/10 kinda game for me.

Does anyone have an idea of how cheap I can get the Limited Edition version for in the UK? I really want this game.

In my personal Wii RPG reviews The Last Story got a pretty good score. As you can see I really love some of the RPGs on the system.

10/10 Final Fantasy - Crystal Chronicles: My Life As A King
10/10 Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn
10/10 Monster Hunter Tri
10/10 Super Paper Mario
10/10 The Last Story
10/10 Xenoblade Chronicles

Yeah, I really felt the dedication for originality combined with extreme polish, great art, and a fantastic soundtrack in all the Wii RPGs above.

Here's the rest of my Wii RPG collection for completeness:

9/10 Little King's Story
9/10 Okami
9/10 Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love
8/10 Dokapon Kingdom
8/10 Disaster: Day of Crisis
8/10 Eldar Saga
8/10 Final Fantasy - Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time
8/10 Final Fantasy - Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers
8/10 Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo's Dungeon
8/10 Fragile Dreams: Farewell, Ruins of the Moon
8/10 Muramasa: The Demon Blade
8/10 Opoona
8/10 Pandora's Tower
7/10 A Shadow's Tale
7/10 Baroque
7/10 Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop
7/10 Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and The Tower of Mirrors
7/10 Samurai Warriors Katana
7/10 Samurai Warriors 3
7/10 Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of a New World
6/10 Lost in Blue Shipwrecked
5/10 Onechanbara: Bikini Zombie Slayers

PBR wasn't an RPG. Still sucked anyway.

I'd say it's my absolute favorite game on the Wii, closely followed by Okami. The story is beautiful, though the game itself does feel a bit short in length compared to other RPG's. Also, the soundtrack is pretty amazing, though you can't expect any less from Nobuo Uematsu. I've seriously had the theme song stuck in my head since I finished the game a few days ago.

in Onechanbara, Disaster and Okami you get experience points from fighting to level up a variety of stats which is a strong RPG element.

OneChambara (I have it) isn´t a RPG it is a hack and slash like God of War but you can increase your habilities.

Me gusta jugar videojuegos. Soy de México. Sorry my english grammar. I love the Virtual Console, party and fighting games too.

I quite liked it. The gameplay and story were very addictive and I had trouble putting it down. All of the characters were great too. It's a rare thing for a JRPG to feature no unlikeable characters. There's also great music, beautiful art, and plenty of replay value. It's unlikely that you'll get less than 50 hours of enjoyment out of it, if JRPGs are your thing and you can appreciate action, strategy, and stealth elements. Well worth the $30 or so it costs.

I'd give it an 8.5/10. Second best straight RPG on the Wii, after Xenoblade Chronicles, in my opinion.

EDIT: Just noticed this thread is two months old... what the heck is this doing here...

So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.

The combat is good, but with a few frame rate issues, the online versus mode is horrible (IMO) everyone will be freaking rolling, so if you pick characters who don't use magic (it can get annoying), the music is fantastic, funny dialogue, and some good boss fights.

I am playing this right now and am really enjoying it, fun, good world, both relaxing or quick, very witty and funny, great story, I would recommend it. Now that said, how close does Pandora's Tower come to The Last Story, Xenoblade as well

Feel free to add me and contact me
Darn you Nintendo, my backlog is already out of control and you are just making it worse with these new game announcements!!!!

I liked The Last Story more, because of the characters that were older (more mature themes), the story, the battle system, and the main city that I really enjoyed.
But Xenoblade is just way bigger, there's much more to do and see, and it has that unbelievable soundtrack.

Pandora's Tower is a 3D-Castlevanizelda with RPG elements. There's just a small hub and apart from the 3 main characters there are no other NPC's at all (very lonely feeling), the main part of the game is really just dungeons (puzzles and monsters). In comparison to TLS and XBC it's shorter, with less pleasing visuals and most music being ambient or rearranged classics. The fixed camera positions focus on important stuff but can be confusing, so you'll often have to switch to the map to find out where you are/where to go. And the time limit (feed monstermeat to the girl before she turns into a mutant demon) certainly adds lots of tension. Pandora's Tower is a good game, a different experience, more unique than most Zelda-wannabes, but apart from the really welldesigned dungeons and action-oriented gameplay it's just not on the same level as the other two games imo.
