I was considering trading my originals in at maybe Gamestop but They'll probably just rip me off and give me 8 dollars in store credit right? Are they doing any special trade in deals right now?

Trade by other methods and you don't get ripped off so bad.

I recommend http://gametz.com or http://www.goozex.com. If you decide to try out goozex, let me know, we get free stuff when I refer you. I prefer gametz however.

And even on special, GS will rip you off.

You could also see what the going rate for the games is on www.half.com. At this point you'll probably get so little for the GameCube ones that it isn't worth trading them in.

I've been jerked around so many times by Gamestop it's probably not worth trading them in. I guess I'll just keep them. Won't really have much use for them once I get trilogy though. Oh well no big deal. It's better than being cheated.

Some Gamestops cut you a break for example i had copies of the sonic story book series games secret rings and black knight i got 30 dollars for both i paid 20 for one and 30 for the other but i'd say thats pretty good better then when i traded in my GBA Today when i paid 20 used and got 6 bucks back on it but i still got my a better system that is running on Ac Adapter rather then eating my rechargebale batteries i use for my wii so plus that and i got a preorder for new super mario bros wii

^ That is a much better deal than I'd anticipate you'd get from your local Gamestop. Amazon would only give you $1.50 for MP2 and $8.50 for MP3.

Actually I traded some old Game Cube games there and got pretty fair prices.

The thing is, there's no reason for anyone to buy a used Game Cube console, as the Wii is backwards compatible. If you're buying a used system, buy a used Wii.

But the games still do have a going rate (or some of them do) because you can still play them on the Wii. There's still a market for them...whereas there's not one for the console.

Still funny you'd only get a dollar though.

Know how you get a GREAT deal on GC controllers? -- Buy a used GC - like on ebay - ppl who are not in the know pack a controller or 2 with the system and do not see their full value in the sale - you dump the GC and you get some nice first party GC controllers in the bargain - SCORE!

IGN: The holiday Wii lineup looks thin for the hardcore crowd. We see this. Gamers see this. What, if anything, is Nintendo planning to address it?

Oh good, I am neither a gamer or hardcore. Saves me from having to be IGNorant.
