Topic: In the future will you have nostalgic memories of the Wii?

What the title says. If a new Nintendo console comes out. Would you have nostalgic memories of the Wii? For me it depends on how well the next Nintendo console works.

Was thinking about this just the other day, an I'd definitely have to say yes, love my Wii to bits

I like the wii mostly because of being able to play vc games.

That depends on whether I can play these games on future consoles.

Absolutely. It was a revolution that far improve from the Nintendo Gamecube, which was okay. I think the Nintendo Wii is a great system that I would highly recommend. From me defending the Wii, to good and bad times and all games in between that I bought and wanted, I will forever remember the console.

I don't think the Wii is an iconic system, like, say, the SNES, or the PlayStation, but I can play the entire Mario and Zelda main series on it. Between Wii games, GameCube backwards compatibility, and the Virtual Console, all the bases are covered. So I'll probably be holding on to the Wii into the next generation of consoles, depending on the setup.

So as others have said, it depends on what I can do on the next console.

Super Mario Galaxy felt just like Super Mario 64. I didn't like the Gamecube as much because first party games like Super Mario Sunshine departed too much from made the previous games great. The Wii's games are changed so that they remain faithful to why we played NES - N64. Plus, the revival of console 2D gaming is all because of the Wii. I will remember the Wii for many years to come.

With modern classics like Super Mario Galaxy and RE4, the Wii is definitely memorable.

I'm hopeful that when I'm older and most likely not playing video games anymore, I'll still remember how much I enjoyed the Wii.

My Dad is 60, and he plays games most days. Usually Civilization or Red Alert.

I'm already feeling nostalgia. After I super beating Mario Galaxy (121 stars with Mario and Luigi) a year ago, I recently downloaded the whole soundtrack. It's giving me back the warm fuzzies on how awesome the game was.
