The first topic is buried, so I'm bringing it up again.
1. Some way to prevent accidental internet connection tests. Since I seldom use my Wii online, it's annoying when I accidentally choose the "go online" feature of various games. It takes at least a minute before it tells me it's not connecting. I should at least be able to cancel it. 2. DVD and CD compatibility (not that it matters to me) 3. The ability to transfer everything from the original Wii to the new one. In order to avoid copyright problems, the original Wii can be erased upon transfer. 4. Updates to various Virtual Console games. All N64 games are updated to feature vibration. Wave Race 64 has the DS/Wii ads replaced with N64 ads. Tecmo Bowl updated to feature real players. All glitches fixed for both VC and WiiWare. The Spider-Man and Batman cameos return. Ghost data enabled for Mario Kart 64. 5. WiFi firewall compatibility. That way, I can use WiFi 24/7 while still having my firewall running. 6. A bigger hard drive for when I actually get that many games 7. The ability to remove/store unused channels. For example, I never use the photo channel, so why should I have it? 8. A Classic Controller with the cord at the top, but no grips 9. Download content 10. Sega Saturn for VC
1. Different colors 2. Blu-ray support 3. Disc-based game updates 4. More USB Ports on back 5. The ability to use your DSi to control certain games 6. Lots more memory (can't store all VC games on it) 7. Wii motion plus built into the wii remotes (as long as they stay the same size. Good luck Nintendo!) 8. New graphic capabilities 9. Nintendo branded wireless nunchucks 10. Bundled with a classic controller Pro

Let me reiterate my desire for a pizza-making function. This would be a most useful device. While playing video games, you would also be able to cook a pizza, and eject said pizza through the disc drive. You could then devour said pizza while stomping on Goombas and the like. The DS can print money, why can't my next-gen Nintendo console make me pizza?
Lieutenant Commander of the Lesbian Love Brigade
There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.
I second the desire for delicious pizza, hot and fresh from my Wii 2.

Why? Because Wii owners will buy the "Wii 2" as long as the word "Nintendo" is on most of the games. But for the hardcore audience, three things need to happen before I will call Nintendo great again are:
1. Nintendo to make the system have a simple controller 2. Nintendo to try new Game Ideas once in a while 3. Nintendo to punch Rare in the FACE and then buy them from Microsoft
Note: I know the third one will probably never happen, but it's possible. If they've sold over 10 million Wiis, I'm pretty sure they can buy one small company the Microsoft doesn't really care for.

3. RARE is not that big of deal in any case. Sounds like nostalgia to me. They are working an Natal, go for that.
2. Ha, from the king of New IPS - brain age, nintendogs, wii sports wii music wii fit, need I go on?
1. ? You mean like Eye Tool and Natal? ? Wii supports several control inputs, including the 'classic' controller that apes the awful dualshock and the gamecube controller. A total non starter.
These seem like 'casual' arguments to me.

HD support, 4GB Hard drive at least. An option to download WiiWare games with WiiConnect24, so games get dwnldd while playing. Good Multimedia support. Option to back-up all important files to SD card (game saves etc.) Wii compatibility. Improved motion controls. And so on...
Just hope it has some sort of hard drive, and maybe Linux support.
why does internal storage have to have spinning platters to be relevant? if in 2006 I had to pick between a 20GB HDD and 512MB NAND flash on my console I'd pick flash any day sure downloadable software means that the storage is somewhat of an issue but with SD expansion its fairly minimal so if the next console has a 1TB HDD instead of a 16GB SSD I am going to be annoyed
and why does it need Linux support? I am a HUGE Linux supporter but this really doesn't make sense to me I have a WDTV to do media on my TV, I have a desktop to do computer-y things if I really want to I can connect my Wii Remote/potential future controller to my computer via bluetooth so why would I want to run Linux on my gaming console?
I'd rather a hard drive and do without SD cards completely, just my preference, as for linux it wouldn't need it, but it would be nice to have some way to play legit homebrew, with Nintendos blessing in whatever form, though I wont be betting they will change their position on that any time soon, if ever.
Yeah I say a bigger HD, Nintendo to keep the VC game catalogue open, a loyalty point scheme for VC and to allow the use of debit cards on VC! I can't think of other ways to make the Wii better!
