True. Of course, Ganon went through the same. Had a few games with very simple stories before being treated seriously. Both just looked cool in their first three games (Vaati moreso, I'd say, with his many monster forms, though LttP Ganon is impressive, too). Vaati already has some back story from Minish Cap, though his personality is still pretty much blank slate, from what I recall.I keep thinking how neat it'd be to see him and Ganon work together, perhaps Ganondorf even betraying him in the end through some trickery or stealing something from him (perhaps whatever his trick for seeming immortality is, since both manage to come back again and again, sometimes over thousands of years), leading both to Vaati's downfall and Ganondorf's rise to power in Ocarina.I think this would sort of tie into Oregano's idea of the ending being "bittersweet," since one villain would be felled yet another would have had his small, perhaps secret, victory.Of course, I have no idea what Nintendo thinks of Vaati or how he fits in the timeline. They thought him interesting enough to use in FSA, but perhaps just because he was already in the last Four Swords and didn't feel like pulling out Ganon for what they saw as a side game.
