Do you need cash, or is Gamestop credit OK? I think that the $50 extra at Gamestop is only for in-store credit. You won't be getting an extra $50 in cash.
How long have you been trying to sell it on Craigslist?
And yes, I'm aware that store credit isn't cash, but I'm planning on putting the money towards the 3DS, so store credit is fine.
ah, okay. in that case, if i were you i'd give it a couple days and then trade it in just in case someone on craigslist actually bites at your offer — i'd probably even change the ad and require that it be paid for in full and picked up by the 5th. that way you know you've definitely got something for it and no one'll back out on the agreement a day or two later and make you miss out on GameStop's deal.
BEST THREAD EVER future of NL >:3

[16:44] LztheBlehBird: James doesn't know the rules? For shame!!!

That sounds like a great idea. Thank you.
If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.
I'm curious as to why your so desperate to sell it. I supose everyones circumstances are differant so tell me to stop being nosey if you like haha.
The only reason I say it is that you might one day regret it, I once foolishly sold my SNES and almost instantly regreted it. I've since bought another one but since then i've never sold any of my old consoles.
They're always great to dust off as set up from time to time

I really and truly do not want to sell it, but I really and truly HAVE to. And not just for money for the 3DS.

Fair enough, i've also traded in aload of things to be able to afford my 3ds, mainly aload of old Wii & PS3 games that I know i'll never play again.
I also got a good deal by trading in my DSi providing I did it before the 4th March.
The problem was that I go away on holiday co-incidently on the 4th March so would have been nice to been able to use my DSi to pass that time on the plane.
Still i'm sure it'll all be worth it when i get my 3DS on launch day
@tristen - amazon tends to be pretty nice in terms of trade-ins....if there's not an offer doing it the easy way, it's not a bad place to hock used stuff either--esp. since on craigslist you're swimming in a sea of stolen goods... And yeah--that 100 offer is guaranteed to be store credit (if they're offering bonus money anyway)
Come to think of it there's no guarantee that used stuff on Amazon isn't primarily stolen either....

@tristen - to each his own I guess...hopefully you didn't lose too much Wiiware...although if you did I doubt that'll be missed One can only play Castlevania Rebirth and Cave Story so many times...
@pix - I'm personally not a trader-inner, but I've noticed a few times, when browsing for games, that the trade-in values are astonishingly high. I've never seen one for less than 50% of what Amazon sells the game for--most are far closer. How was the process (shipping fee or not, turnaround time, etc.) itself?

How will I send it away, if I can't get to a post office? The bus doesn't go to one.
E-Bay offers free USPS pickup at your house.
Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.
...
Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.

I don't have anything downloaded onto my Wii.

And how will I get paid? I can't do paypal. (I just realized that. )
Although they do prefer PayPal, you can set it up to require payment by mailed check.
