Got mine at walmart, last copy on the shelf, evenbeing 26 i wrestled it away from some 12 year old and had his mother yell at me and call me a bunch of nice names. Doesnt matter, I wasnt going to let the last copy that walmart was going to get go away.

Then the Ghost of Mario past, present and future will arrive.

The Ghost of Mario past will be the sprite from All-stars and he will remember the glory days of playing it in his youth.

The Ghost of Mario present as we already learned is the sprite from Mario All-stars showing him trying to relive the glory days of his Youth.

The Ghost of Mario Future will again be the sprite from Mario All-stars again showing how he does from a heart attack from screaming about another Mario All-stars 50th anniversary cash in.

If you can't find it in stores, you can have my copy for $200. That sounds fair, right?

I was in the same situation. If you didn't pre-order it, it's going to be friggin' tough to find in stores. I bought it off Amazon a couple days ago, but the price had already shot up to $43 or so. If you really want it, you might want to buy now before it gets any higher.

@bboy2790: come on, now, there's no need for 'well you should've gotten it at launch if you wanted it so bad' -- i know I straight-up didn't have the money for it until the payday after it hit, and by then there were no copies left in town... believe me, i checked everywhere. not everyone is as privileged to have the money for everything they want as soon as it comes out; if you are so blessed, good for you. :/

It's on the shelves everywhere here in the UK. Any GameStation or Game and they have tons of copys on shelf - I wonder why it's so much harder to find in the US?

I think Europeans are wise to Nintendo in this case and don't want to waste their money. It could also be the PAL issue. Personally I'm not buying it as I don't want it in disc form, I'd much prefer to download it on the VC. I already own those games in their original NES form anyway.

I use the stuff in my collection, I knocked off that OCD I had about things being perfect. Nothing is ever going to be perfect and once I die it wont matter if I had stuff mint or not. All that matters if I have the Collection at all. When I am old I can tell my kids, guys this is from 2010, only a few of these where sold... ect.

I agree with this. Whilst I keep my games in excellent condition, I always buy them and keep them to play. Treat them with respect but, should they get damaged by accident, just think it's a shame and forget about it. That goes for very rare pricey titles too.

I personally can't wait for complete digital distribution of all media - providing there's no DRM and I can move it around freely. I'm such a minimalist that even having to hold onto too many games and dvds drives me crazy.

Oh and I don't think we're seeing Mario Allstars as a rip-off here in the UK - it's near the top of the sales chart behind Just Dance etc on the shelves. I think we just get more copies here. You can even still buy Metroid Prime Trilogy new here too.

Yup, just saw a load of copies in both G/GS and HMV. Didn't buy it as I imagine I'll get it for christmas from someone.

off-topic: I was surprised to see both DKCR and NSMBW prices have increased to £42.99. What the truck?

It depends on where you look. Some places will always sell big name titles way overpriced.

Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.

I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!

Machu

I just want to know if this is a decision made by GAME or Nintendo. The prices were £39.99 only days ago and have mysteriously increased to coincide with Christmas shopping. Dodgy!!!!

Makes me think of the two games I let my ferrets chew on by accident (Tatsunoko vs. Capcom and GoldenEye).

Yeah it's definitely hard to find, I pre-ordered my copy from Gamestop at the end of October and they apparently still didn't have a copy for me!

Meh, that 12-year-old needs to experience it on the SNES, anyway.

I as well found mine @ wal-mart, last one on the shelf as well, but didn't have to wrestle it away from a 12 year old. defiantly worth $30 Bucks
