Oh...it might bring the price of the first Super Mario Galaxy game down a little more. Which wouldd give me anofher good reason to try it out.

I'll assume that was aimed at me (you really should direct your posts). I'm not being a jerk, I'm just playing, you shouldn't take things so seriously. But then, the same could be said for me I guess...

If you say things like that on a Nintendo website, I would expect to meet some opposition. I disagreed with the majority of your post and was quite restrained tbh.

I guess I just find it strange that so many people around here could be so 'meh' about SMG. It pushed boundaries, and smashed a few too. It seems as though the sequel will go even further. Why would you not be excited for that? I guess the same way I find FF completely soleless and boring, whilst others think it's ace.

offical nintendo mag gave mario galaxy 2 97% same as the first and quoted "the same shelll but with interly new content" trust on wendsday you can pick up a copie but as im a subscriber i got it on friday

I find it frightfully upsetting that so many people embrace pretty much anything with Mario's name on it. I hope I find a method of leaving this planet when "Mario Takes A Crap" gets released and I find myself the only person not in one of Nintendo's competitor's fan camps who isn't overjoyed.
Then there's those two things that should never have been thought up!!!
If machines are ever sent back in time to kill someone, it won't be some lady or her son/daughter who grows up to lead the human resistance. Those machines will come to kill Charles Martinet and whoever thought up Bowser Jr.

@bfb This is a Nintendo forum, of course a majority of members are going to be excited about Mario.

It's not like Galaxy 2 is one of the endless spinoffs that just slaps Mario's name on it for extra sales (many games like that HAVE gotten significant criticisms here). It's one of the main installments in the series, which, for the most part have been excellent.

So you dislike the story and some of the voices. Seeing as all of those things together consist of about 1-2% of the average Mario game, most people aren't making a big deal out of them, even if they don't like them either. We get it, those things grate you to the point where you can't appreciate anything else. Just because people don't believe those elements are a big deal, doesn't mean we're all mindless Nintendo drones. It just means we like the style of gameplay. At least one hard-to-please reviewer, Edge Magazine, agrees with us. Now, review scores don't mean squat when it comes to how much an individual likes or dislikes a game, but it shows that it's not completely absurd to imagine that some people might have different legitimate opinions toward a game than you.
