Between VC, Gamecube (which I didn't have before the Wii), a few decent WiiWare games and Wii games, I did just fine with just a Wii. I did finally get a PS3 last November though.

I haven't played my PS3 since the launch of Resident Evil 5. I wish it would just magically turn into a PS2 so i could play some of them PS1 classics and other PS2 titles that i missed out on like Klonoa 2, contra Shattered Soldier, Silent Hill 2, Mega man X7 ect. :p

Haha, same here. We actually have some PS2s for $50 at a Target near me. I'm so tempted to get it but I just can't spend the money right now lol.

See my focus on handhelds kept me off the Wii for most part. I stated with a Game Boy Color but I was playing my Mom's Gameboy before I got that. The Wii had a few great titles and when I played Wii, I played them. I'm still more of a handheld guy but yes the Wii U crushes the Wii.

Thank you for the drawing @I-Hate-Ponies

@Brooks83
I can't exactly afford to score a PS2 + games right now either....Ok maybe that's a bit of a lie, as i tend to give the PS2 the shaft when the thought of something more interesting comes up like buying a 3DS,Wii or retro game, be it Battletoads, mega man 6, Shadowgate ect. At this point I really don't want to buy anymore games until i finish what's left in my collection. Ahem, 20 minutes ago I just bought TMNT III: Radical Rescue for the Gameboy on eBay haha. So much for that idea! lol

I loved the Wii. However, I had many problems with it and I hope the Wii U fixes them.

How anybody can complain about not having enough games is mindboggling to me.

Because there are better games on the other consoles with better features and more multimedia functionality.

The Wii can't possibly satisfy the average too-much-time-on-my-hands gamer with its lackluster library.

It doesn't matter that there may have been better games on the other consoles. There were more than enough on the Wii. Do I wish I could have played Bioshock and Mass Effect? Of course. But I still had plenty of other games to play. And my life is no less complete for missing out on those good games, and anybody who thinks theirs would be has bigger problems than having to survive six years with only one game console.

I actually played my DS more than I played my Wii, and I also played some of my bro's 360 that he got only 3 to 4 months after I got the Wii in Mach 2007.

Its library is most definitely lacking. The FPS genre, RPG genre, fighting genre, TPS, RTS, racing, stealth, you name it. And most of the games that were apart of these genres were below average even though there's not much to speak of.

The only genres Wii outperformed were the platforming, racing and adventure genres. Not an entire library of quality and quantity there.

Which is exactly why I got a PlayStation 3. There wasn't much to play on the Wii anymore.

The fact that Miiverse also exists now...Iwata has already lived up to a promise. My single player games don't feel so alone anymore because I can talk with friends through Miiverse communities and private messaging.

Wii/DS...they felt so empty.

I had a Wii in 2008,and all together my ride with Wii has been a fairly good one.
2008 was a fun year, picking up loads of games I've missed out on,even if there weren't many great new titles.
2009 was better with more better new releases,
2010 was the year of the Wii for be brilliant 3rd and 1st party support.
2011 twas a very dry year for releases, even if we did get Skyward Sword, and Xenoblade..
2012 has quite a few more releases for the first few months of the year, then it went quite till November with Just Dance 4,and Epic Mickey.

Also, talk about a melodramatic title. This should be used for a country breakup song, not disappointment over a Nintendo console not having the video games you supposedly wanted to play.

I got a Wii at launch and have a pretty good library of games. I liked it more than both my N64 and Gamecube.
