Topic: How come there was no Vitallity Sensor?

I was interested on seeing what games would be used for it. Besides those relaxation crap games that are on Wii everywhere.

I think we can conclude that the Vitallity Sensor is dead. Nintendo must have realised that they seriously need to stop with these stupid peripherals.

Nintendo said that they are still planning to release the Vitality Sensor but it just wasn't right for their presentation.

It would be too much to have to introduce two new pieces of hardware, this and the 3DS, and you know most people there don't care. I do hope it still comes out. It can't be that expensive, and it could have some nifty uses.

The vitalitity sensor may be too small, or maybe the game is still not ready. OR IT COULD BE CANCELLED.

wasn't Nintendo's E3 very core-oriented? I don't know why they have casual presentations, since casual players probably don't pay attention to E3.

Probably the major reason is for investors and such, Ramandus. There's also word of mouth. For instance, when I first saw Wii Sports online from E3, I told a bunch of people who don't watch E3 or don't even know what it is.

Vitality Sensor wasn't well received after E3 09, and it is tough to incorporate it into games (WiiFit?). Maybe it just got canned altogether.

They said it has not been "canned." Yes, I'd pay for it if it's cheap and has good software. Kind of hard to say either way until we know that.

I predict it will be the Duke Nukem Forever of gaming hardware. People will continue to talk about it for decades until Nintendo finally announce it's dead.

Nintendo might want to let the Japanese market get their hands on it first, along with the 3DS, so it might come back up before the end of the year. My bet, third party devs didn't have anything to show with it and Nintendo only had one game for it.
