I've said it before and I'll say it again, if you even slightly like survival horror games, you need to check out Cursed Mountain. It's not really all that scary, but the eerie atmosphere is top notch. I think you can find this game for like 9 bucks now at Gamestop, it's certainly worth it.

I'm mildy interested in checking this one out. As far as survival Horror goes which is one of my favorite Genres, I have Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition and Resident Evil: Archives. Need to get RE Zero Archives as it's the only RE game I've never completed. Obscure After Math is another Survival Horror game I'm guessing, but it totaly looks meh.

obscure is the only wii game i regret buying i sold it to a game store for 75¢
and didn't even care.

Bah, you guys got Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly Which more than makes up for it. :P

@Faint
was it really that bad? What were your thoughts on Cursed Mountain? I'm a sucker for survival horror, and i'll take what i can get considering it's become a dieing niche genre that has transitioned into bloated, watered down, unscary, mindless, hollywoodized Action movies with monsters....Cough*, RE6!

After viewing a couple of Mushroom men video reviews and checking out the gameplay, i'm....well, a little or should i say extremely disappointed. One of the most generic formulaic PS1/N64 playing platformers i've ever seen. It's the mushroom men that make this standout(And the fact that when your character Pax gets damaged his pink gooey mushroom brain is exposed. eek!) but that's basically it. Nothing new here, just another run of the mill standard platformer with quirky mushroom monsters a plenty' ;)

The Munchables shall be my next ;) Looks pretty darn tetrisTootin' great!

All of which i'd gladly trade for Fatal Frame II. ;) Don't get me wrong, Excitebots is pretty solid...Possibly one of the best racers i've ever played(at last when selecting one of the 'light' bots such as the LadyBug or Bat ect) even though it's wrapped up in a crummy bare bones presentation, and those pesky in-game red bars make you come to a complete awkward halt which destroys the pace of what is otherwise a high octain bug nuts thrill ride.

Still more enjoyable & fresh Vs the luck based Mario Kart Wii. ;) Trauma Team is another i still need to check out, and as for Kirby's Dream Collection, all of those games are already available on the VC unless you're the type that must have them al on once disc. Haven't played the others and have no desire to.

Anyhoo, Dragon Quest: Swords* is another early wii title i really want to check out. I really like the shield based pointer controls, weather this game is mediocre or not at least it's doing something new and represents another experience that could of been only done on the WIi during the time.

I have Cursed Mountain and played it for like an hour. It was around the time I was into the PS3 so I'm sure I got sucked into playing another game on that. I really want to go back and give a it a try again though I don't know win I ever will with my backlog.

Well, since it goes for Pizza Hut pennies i might as well check it out! Well, at least when i'm getting closer to slowly picking off what's left of my current Wii Back-log. :P It looks decent, if anything it has to be better than Obscure 2: The After math. Still, i'd much rather import Fatal Frame II Crimson Butterfly which looks to be the grand daddy of Wii Survival horror. :O

Untitled

but i have no idea how to go about playing imported titles on a NA Wii. Doesn't it involve some sort of home brow set up, or the use of an SD card? Maybe a splash of Mutagen Ooze and a lick of Crystal Pepsi may do the trick. B-)

@WaveBoy: You're a smart guy, I'm sure Google will provide more than enough information to help you in your 'playing imported games' quest. Please understand that we do not discuss the means to do so here, though, because the only way is by 'gray-area' means that stand in violation of our Rules. Sorry to disappoint, but rules is rules, mang :3

I wish there was a hardware based region free mod but I don't think one exists. (Rather solder pins than mess with software given the choice).

I actually looked into this a bit, and it looks pretty great, I might actually pick it up. here is NL's review on it.

And it goes for Fungi-pennies on eBay. ;) It looks absotootly' moldy & Marvelous! :O
Here's another i'm dieing to try out, but it's semi-steep eBay price tag keeps throwing me off.

I was a pretty big fan of Monkey Ball Banana Blitz's Motion based tilt controls(At least when playing on a lag free SDTV), yet i hear Koringpa actually bests it. I really hope Sega releases a Wii U monkey ball sequel, seeing as how the gyro conrolled Wii U game pad makes for the perfect controller to tilt the in-game boards. Much more so than the Wii remote which i felt was already pretty tight. :*

Heh funny story, I saw a youtube channel showing this game and I manage to pick this up by accident.

It plays like the game above but with a sciency twist.
Suprizingly fun and a bit hard.
Only major drawback is that there's no multiplayer mode

Was Mariobro4. No, I'm not taking off my backpack.....it's important.
Toadloggery and a Youtube Channel

Games are games ppl. Enjoy 'em.
Remember N64 Turoks? Want it on VC?

I know I'm in the minority on this one, but I really like Vahalla Knights. I don't think it is any where near as bad as people make it out to be. I'd actually give it a 7/10. Also, I saw a poster above mention Fragile Dreams: Farewell to the Moon. +1 to that!

I second Eldar Saga (Valhalla Knights) and Dokapon Kingdom if you are into good obscure Wii RPGs
If you can find em cheap go for it. They'll provide 40+ hrs of gameplay each.

Dokapon Kingdom is like a Mario Party RPG with a co op 4 player mode great for families and sessions with friends.
And Eldar Saga is a PC-like action RPG with a world that reminds me of Twilight Princess, The Last Story and Monster Hunter.

+100 to Fragile Dreams, still haven't beat it.. YET. But I will, and right now so far so beautiful.

I also second Arc Rise Fantasia as a obscure great game, too bad it was so overlooked and bashed at the same time just because of the not so bad voice acting.
