Topic: Ghostbusters Wii

Just wondering if anyone plans on buying Ghostbusters Wii this week?

I really want it, but I'm utterly strapped for cash (thanks to doctors and student loans), so I don't know. I also really want to buy The Conduit on release so that the multiplayer user base doesn't die down before I can enjoy it.

Grrr. I wish I had money.

Yes. My fiance and I have it reserved. We're not playing it till tomorrow, when she comes over though.

I went to the midnight release last night with a friend (who bought the Wii version) and it was AWESOME! There were employees dressed up as Ghostbusters and they set up some TV's and 360's outside for people who wanted to play the game they even had free chips and hamburgers! (yum!)

So did it come out today, or does it come out tomorrow? The Best Buy website says 6-17-09 for the release date.

I went last night to the midnight release. The ecto 3 was there, ghostbusters (my sister and brother in law were 2 of them) and they had free pizza. Though I picked up the 360 version

I will wait to read reviews on this game before adding it to my list of games to buy, it will have to be pretty good though as their are too many good games being released at the moment vying for the contents of my wallet.

Probably not. I just got PoP2 (only 5 dollars) and I have The Conduit reserved. I've been getting games like mad the past few months, so I'm really trying to cut out as much as possible. Plus New Super Mario Bros. Wii, TMNT Smash Up and Red Steel 2 are coming out at the end of the year.

I wish I could buy it - stupid Sony making it PS3 exclusive here. I was wondering tho - is Vigo the Butch in the Wii version?

Of course Dead Space should be out around then as well as Williams Pinball Classics (pre-ordered for over 6 months!)...decisions, decisions!

ANYONE WHOS BOUGHT THIS, can u please explain the kinds of multiplayer available for the wii version?

While I was first intrigued when news about the Ghostbusters game came out, I'm not nearly as enthused now. It really does seem like a lot is heavily borrowed from the two films. I'd have rather seen a bit more of an original scenario. Also, there seems to be an overall impression of the game not being that stellar and quite repetitive. If it wasn't for the Ghostbusters license it probably wouldn't have scored nearly as well as it has in review outlets.

I like this game a lot. The game does refer a lot to the movies, but the situations are new as well, just the scenery and characters are recycled.

What I think is interesting, is that Gamespot, which I have always thought was biassed against the Wii, gave it a higher score then the X360 and PS3 versions.
And then, Gametrailers gave Tiger Woods PGA Tour '10 a higher recpomendation over the other two console versions as well (providing you have the wii motion plus)
Is this year shaping up to be a year when Wii will win because of games?
