What do you think is the likelihood of Motion Plus Mario Tennis & Mario Golf titles? Have these titles been replaced by the Wii Sports line? I'm more interested in the cartoony, fun sports offerings like these than I am in something like Tiger Woods or Grand Slam Tennis. I'll be picking up Sports Resort, but I'm hoping for some more Mario Sports offerings down the line.

Mario Tennis Wii would be a blast with WM+. If they made it real-time, record your racket angle at contact (like in GST), and maps lobs and stuff to buttons, it'd be insane.
I love Mario Strikers sooo much would love to see a sequel. Not that MP would add owt to it, unless you went down the PES route which would not work. Love Mario Tennis but didn't like the the NPC's as the OPC was way way better, and no controller support (why?). A brand new MP Mario Tennis would ROCK! I'm drooling for a MP Mario Golf though, with full on Mushroom Kingdom courses (and maybe Galaxy, ooh).
I never played that DS Hoops game either, would like to see that reborn on Wii with MP. 3 points!
But if people like them, they should make them, and anyway, you know they will. What about, Wii Sports 2 with special guest Mario. Hell, Mario has already infected Wii-Fit with the platforming thing (which looks cooool).
Mario Sports are overdone. They each have humble beginnings that just got to be too crazy in their sequels.
I'd rather the Wii Sports series continue. You get more sports for your buck.
Mario Sports is overdone because they released the same games, Golf and Tennis onto the N64, GBC, GCN and GBA. It became stale by the time it got on the GCN. However Mario Strikers was interesting, it wasn't seen on the N64, nor was it developed by Camelot. Then there's Mario and Sonic at the Olmpics, hmm... I personally haven't played it, but I doult it's good. But I think that if Nintendo came up with different ideas they could bring out some interesting stuff. Fishing maybe? A nintendo version of Sega Bass Fishing? Could work...

I could live with no Mario Sports titles if it keeps Camelot working on more Golden Sun sequels for me.

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.
I don't see the need for Mario Golf. We already have two iterations of golf in the Wii Sports series, and if the new one is even better than the first, I'll be very much satisfied. Plus, we've already gotten two Mario Golfs.
Your other suggestions are good though. I would not mind seeing a Mario sports title so long as it is a sport he hasn't done before and isn't already over represented on Wii. Hockey would probably work well. Simple controls: Nunchuk to move, point to aim, A to pass (charge to shoot), B for items, waggle (yes, I said it) to check. Not sure what else you need. Penalty shootouts could even use M+ for direct stick control.
Your right Adam there is no need. But I really really WANT a new Mario Golf (with low-G Galaxy courses thrown in)! I liked Wii Sports Golf, for about an hour. Maybe Nintendo should use this idea, http://uk.wii.ign.com/articles/994/994052p1.html, before EA grab it for Tiger11.
