To be honest, I've never tried an F Zero game, but I would buy it if it came to the Wii. But starfox, I've played the SNES one, the N64 one, and the Gamecube one, and if it were to come to the Wii, I doubt I would buy it. They just can't hold my interest for more than a couple hours.
I personally would choose F-Zero WiiX. I love racing games (futuristic even more so) but F-Zero was always that little bit harder and asked that little bit more. Combat without weapons! H-core!
But asking us to choose is mean coz Starfox Wii HAS to be made too.
I'd choose F-Zero because the majority of Star Fox games are awful. If a Star Fox came out that topped the N64 and SNES versions, I'd be quite happy, but the series' track record since then is not convincing.
F-Zero however has nary a bad game in the series (that I've played). I was not a huge fan of GX, but I didn't play it long enough to write it off altogether, and it has a ton of fans. The first two ruled, and the GBA games are just as good. I'd love to see the game get even faster on Wii.

The first two games were wonderful thanks to none other than EAD. This is why, although speculation on the matter is a fun diversion, I'm rarely in favor of Nintendo handing over its franchises to third parties. Rare, Namco, Q-Games - clearly none of them was (or is) capable of producing anything remotely on par with an EAD product. I'm all in favor of a new Star Fox game, but only if Nintendo gives it back to the proper team.

@ Wario I agree in regards to Star Fox, but not in general. Capcom did some good things with Zelda: two decent GBC games, a good GBA game, not to mention kick-starting the wonderful Four Swords series.
And no game on the horizon right now looks better than Other M.
I'm in favor of lending franchises if it means getting more games sooner. Sure, Nintendo probably would have done a better job on all of these games (as Four Swords Adventures proved), but they unfortunately can't develop a new game for all of their franchises at once.
True. I did say "rarely in favor" for just these kinds of exceptions, but I think I tend more to the side of waiting for a great 1st party release than others here. I'm a man of patience.
In all seriousness, I'm just a man of insufficient free time, so Nintendo's slow release schedule works fine for me; else I'd be missing out on more than I already am ( I still haven't bought Twilight Princess, and I'm a huge Zelda fan! After I finish MM, I will finally feel like I've earned it, having re-beaten every console Zelda over the last couple of years, but I know that it will consume me for some time once I hit the title screen, so I'm wary ).

I'm going to say F-Zero. I've always had fun with F-Zero. I can't say the same for Star Fox.

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.
Star Fox. I strongly dislike the F-Zero series. Controls don't sit well with me. Star Fox at least MIGHT have a new game that's really good (I wouldn't mind another Star Fox Adventures type game, though I know most people would), while as far as I'm concerned, F-Zero would suck guranteed.
My Backloggery Updated sporadically. Got my important online ID's on there, anyway. :P
The reason i say star fox is because there is more you can do with it than you can do with F-Zero. Of course this means, more can go wrong as well. F-zero, all you can really do is make another 60fps super speed racer. Star Fox tho, they can do dogfigthing, tanks, 3rd person action on the ground (except much better than adventures, more gears of war style) and there can be a story...lol and from the graphics of the lylat system level in brawl (which i feel shows the wii's best graphics, just that level), Star Fox can really look and play amazingly if done well

Star Fox, because I remember the good times spent with the SNES and N64 versions. i know the later installments of the series weren't so great, but that doesn't mean they couldn't redeem themselves with a Star Fox Wii.

Unfortunately "more can go wrong as well" seems to be the rule of thumb with the Star Fox series. The more they stray from the original formula, the worse it gets.
For Star Fox, I'd like to see a one-player mode that is similar to the 64 game, but more difficult (not SNES difficult though), and a multi-player mode with 12 or 16 players and different vehicles, like Warhawk but on a smaller scale. But I doubt this will happen.
But really, I'd be satisfied with an F-Zero that sticks to the formula because more than a lot of games, it could use a major graphical overhaul. The original looked great, but the 3D ones less than great. Add in motion controls and Nintendo's magic touch (take it back from Sega, please), and I'll be happy.
F-Zero with star fox cameos (if you reached a certain star fox command ending you know what I mean.)
Already done. F-Zero had Star Fox cross-overs before, though some may have just been in name. F-Zero X, I know, had James McCloud listed as a racer. I don't remember if there was an image of a fox next to his name or if it was just a normal racer named after him, but Star Fox Command just took the idea a step further. I hope they continue to link the games. It's nifty.
