You yourself, Alexsays say you love Animal Crossing. Wii Speak works in that sense. Also, I plan on getting Conduit and Endless Ocean 2 so I'm sure I'll find plenty of use for it.
That is true, I do love Animal Crossing. It's my second favorite Nintendo game this gen, only second to Wii Fit.
I actually have Wii Speak -- which is funny after everything I've said. lol -- because I wanted to try it out, and I was disappointed. So now when my brother and I play Animal Crossing online we just use our cellphones.

I'll get it as soon as an online game that me and my friends care about, uses it; I don't like AC, and my friends don't care about The Conduit, so not getting it for awhile; I'll just stick to the phone.
Hmm...I may get Wii Speak if I REALLY get into Conduit online. But considering that this summer is the last period for a while that I'll have time to play games regularily (next comes college) I don't know if I'll make that investment.

If it let me talk with random people, I'd buy it But I'm not going to buy something that forces me to go through some super tedious process of exchanging friend codes in order to use it..and even if I did start exchanging friend codes with people online, I still don't think I'd know enough people with WiiSpeak to justify the purchase and by the way how many games actually do use WiiSpeak?? Animal Crossing....The Conduit...and...ummm.......

I'm surprised most of you guys are iffy about Wii Speak. It is better then what you guys think, you don't know what you're missing! @AlexSays-You bought Wii Speak and you were dissapointed!? Why!?
I already have a sensor bar bump thanks. It survived longer than AC did, and has been collecting dust on top of my telly since. The Wii-Speak channel is really nice, and quite funny, but I don't use it as often as I like as only 1 of my Wii-owning friends has Wii-Speak. I'd like to see games add voice-effects like the channel does. Wouldn't that be cool if you could choose presets like 'alien voice 4' or tweak the levels till you sound goofy enough, or tough enough, or just plain scary enough. Just a thought, but it could keep in game voices relevant to the game your playing or just make it more fun. Goin 'Mwahahaha' having toasted someone, in robot speak would rock. Please HVS, be one step ahead of me.
I have wiispeak and I NEVER use it. I bought it in anticipation for the conduit, and then the next day they delayed it. the NEXT day! Anyways, Once the conduit comes out I expect to use it more.
Wii : 5234 3442 0233 5325 3DS: 2664-2106-1671 I have A LOT of games, if you want to play something, just email me jangonov...
I wouldn't call it awesome but yes, it is great. Still itching to see more third-party games use it though, even on WiiWare. UNO would be great with Wii Speak for example. So far we only have three games using it, the third being Endless Ocean 2 which I'm definitely getting.
Well, I'm down. I too wouldn't want to either give out my phone number to people I only "know" over the internet or worse tie up my phone line whilst playing a game (no way that would last in my house).
I passed up one on sale at HMV for £14 and am now kicking myself for not buying it since the cheapest I've found it online is £14.99. I may get it tomorrow if I get the chance, but assuming The Conduit is still coming next Friday I should have it in time for that.
Oh and the process for adding friends is apparently streamlined in The Conduit since I believe you can add people's codes who are in random match-ups? Could be worth a look.

Endless Ocean 2 getting Wii Speak? I'm getting that for sure! Uno for Wii Speak!
Sadly, Nintendo said only the casual games, one that most hardcore gamers wouldn't even care about, for there games will use Wii Speak, but I'm thinking that they're lying, if not then that's a bunch of ****!
If you plug your headphones into your telly you basically have a headset. It´s a cheaper way to communicate with oversea pals as in England/US/Sweden. Skype costs money And last but not least i have a far easier way to communicate through speaking than writing. So there. Ordered last Sunday From play.com 35$
I got mine at HMV within the last hour so I'll be hooking it up and checking out the channel tonight if anyone's on.
HMV seems to be discontinuing the sale of this in-store, so if you live in the UK £14 is cheaper than any online price I've seen so get on in. If it's not on display ask because the one on Sauchiehall Street only had them in the back stock room.
I'le be receiving mine tomorrow or tuesday, it takes like forever ordering from England Im adding you Sauron (Sean Aaron) are you planning on buying the conduit? Bounty hunter ftw!
I do have the Special Edition on pre-order; I was planning on playing the single-player campaign before jumping into online since I've not played an online FPS for at least 5 years.
