Right. I bet they'll call it Mickey's Magical Adventure Through Hypocrisy.
i would buy that game in a hot minute. no lie. having lived in Orlando and worked for The Mouse, I would love to see the in-jokes and stuff they could cram into a title like that, and I know all my friends and former co-workers would too.

Really Dragon? I used to visit my brother all the time when he was a "cast member." Wild times. I too would buy this game - but just can't see the image of a crumbling iconic Epcot Center ever seeing the light of day, officially.
EDIT: Also, if this game were to ever get made, HD would be the way to go - imagine the details you could cram in there.
@Majora: There's a fine line between deranged and dressed up for Halloween. And looking at the concept art, the artists know the difference. You do too, admit it.
lol I don't get why everyone is saying that Disney would never approve this or allow this and will clamp down on copyright infringement etc. etc.
I hope you do realise that Disney OWNS this game developer... this game has been made for Disney, under the supervision of Disney, and in collaboration with Disney. You only haven't heard of it before because Disney made Spector sign a contract not to say anything, because they're publishing this game.
Seems the art leaked from freelance artists who had done work for Junction Point. They retain the rights to their own artwork, and decided to post it on their websites as part of their portfolio in conjunction with their resumés in order to promote themselves.
Oh well, you know these artistic types. This is exactly the reason why Shah Jahan killed or blinded all his architects and builders after they finished the Taj Mahal.

not so much, considering the designs for the Taj Mahal were actually used. The posted artwork could very well be of designs that were not/are not suitable for use in the game for whatever reason... that's pretty common among artists; rejected artwork is fair game for portfolio fodder.

So just because they own the developer, they'll approve its game? Regardless of content? Regardless of imagery? Regardless of glaringly unnerving representations of their most iconic characters and properties? Wow, I didn't know it worked that way. I can't wait to tell all my colleagues in corporate marketing what I just learned!

Being a big Disney person (go nearly every year), I would also love that.
I would love it if they had zombies that think fastpasses are only between the times

Well, the guy in question is also posting screen grabs from his movie projects, so I don't think he's just posting what isn't used in the final production...

Wow, what's with that attitude and the flaunting of the expertise?
And no: it's not that they'll approve the game because they own the developer - this isn't what I said at all. It's that they're aware of this game already BECAUSE they own the developer, and it has been in development only BECAUSE they've been funding it and the studio. They own the studio, so they control every project the studio does. And the very fact that Spector hasn't talked about it is testament to the fact that Disney endorses it and they have contracts and license agreements between them concerning this specific project.
@Clicketyclick: you don't know that he doesn't have permission to post those movie stills. plain old (however amazingly detailed and downright awesome) artwork is so subject to edits and redrawing and drawing the same shot in a different style or having another person draw the same thing because the director likes their take on things a little better that there's no guarantee those images will actually be used in this game.

Of course not. We don't know how anything went down. Maybe he wasn't supposed to post those pics but didn't know. Maybe it was just yet another leak. Who knows. Who cares. But the point is that the artists working on the game weren't just told, "here are some disney characters. Have fun." No, they were working with explicit instructions to create steampunk, robot versions of Disney characters. You may not see these exact scenes in the game, but concept art is often used to get the style down.
Sorry Clickety, I didn't mean to come across like a dick. Did I just blow my chances? LOL
It's just that you started that post by LOLing at those implying that Disney might have a problem with it, and continued by hoping that we realized that Disney owned that developer (I didn't), and concluded with saying it was being made under, by and for Disney Disney Disney... silly nay-sayers.
It didn't seem that you were limiting your conclusions to Disney's being aware of the project, that's all.

and now we come back to my initial reply to you, wherein I refuted the allusion to the myth about the dude who commissioned the Taj Mahal mutilating his architects so that they could never create anything similar -- those designs were definitely put to use, whereas we may very well see nothing like these images in the upcoming game (provided it sees a release at all).
