Initially I was worried about this one - what the hell are the developers doing messing with one of history's most important characters by making him "darker", I thought. But as more and more info is released, this game is looking more and more and more and more awesome.
This is a day 1 purchase for me. I'm comfortable with it being headed by the genius that headed up Deus Ex, I'm comfortable in the knowledge that Disney really does save Mickey for its most important "Bang" moments these days. I am 98% sure that Epic Mickey will be Epic.
This is one of many upcoming titles that I'm keeping an eye on...
"Don't make enemies, they'll stab your heart; don't make friends, they'll stab your back. Including me, including you, all men are trash. Don't love; don't be loved. Have nothing to do with other; live in isolation."
Yeah apparantly it's quite likely it'll go to other consoles as well. But to be honest I think we'll get the best version as it was the original.
This game is going to be a cocktail of awesomeness - a platformer with both 2d and 3d elements + the brains behind Deus Ex. There simply cannot be a gamer that isn't excited about either one (or both) of those things.
Yeah, I am not sure if I will try it out on PS3 or Wii. If the waggle isn't annoying, then most likely I will try Wii, because overall I don't really care that the graphics will be better on the other consoles.

I thought it was a Wii exclusive? Oh well, I`m fascinated by this one. It`s like fusing platforming and RPG I think.
This will probably be one of the few games that "deserve" HD, anyway.
EDIT: Not saying I'm happy for it to go to other systems. Instead, if the rationale for putting on those other systems was to show off the beautiful graphics, then if the Wii were to have had HD, then they wouldn't need to publish cross-platform. And Mickey has the power - this title could have driven console sales if it were still exclusive.
I'm pretty sure it's going to be Wii exclusive. In fact it was originally intended for the PS3 and Xbox 360 but they scrapped those and picked the Wii.

If it is cross platform I'll be getting the PS3 version, simply because I think this kind of game deserves HD visuals (plus, trophies!).
Either way though, as long as it plays well, I don't mind if it's a Wii exclusive. If there's a delay in the PS3 release after the Wii version, then I'd probably just buy the Wii version, because I want this one NOW.
How can you be 98% sure, have you played it? How do you come to a number like 98%? Are you sure you are not 97% sure? You are fooling yourself by convinsing yourself you are sure of this and using a random number to show how sure you are.
I think this is what you meen:
You just have a good feeling about this game, and you have confidence in the developer and the fact that the final product will be good.

There are some good ones out there (like Duck Tales for the NES)
Yeah, "some good ones" is right. For every Spectrobes, Disney Interactive Entertainment publishes something truly awful.
Edit - not that I think this will happen with Epic Mickey. As I said in my original post, Mickey's simply too important to Disney to let anything ruin him. I'm 98% certain this'll be special. They'll pull out all stops to make it happen, I think.
