Topic: eBay best place to get a Wii now?

I've been feeling awfully nostalgic about the Gamecube and Wii games from my youth and have been thinking about picking up a Wii to indulge my memories of both. I figure eBay would be my best shot at getting a reasonly-priced Wii, but just thought I would check on here to see if anyone would recommend anywhere else.

Another question: when I had my Wii I always bought physical copies of games. Is is possible to download retail games from the Wii store still?

it probably won't matter where you buy a wii. they must be dirt cheap everywhere.

i think retail games have never been avaible for download on wii. unless you homebrew it but (spoiler alert) that's illegal (technically)

$67 on Amazon pre-owned for one--more than I'd expected, and pricier than eBay

So I ended up getting an original white Wii with two Wiimotes & Nunchuks, Twilight Princess, Kirby's Epic Yarn, Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3, Mario Strikers Charged and Just Dance 2 (lol) for $113 (inc. shipping) from eBay. Not a bad deal!

Only be sure to have a Wii with GC compatible. If not, i recommend better a Wii U (it has Wii inside too). The Wii shop is alive now, 11 years it has. And you can find a lot VC exclusive games not available in other Nintendo systems like 3DS, Wii U or even Switch.

Me gusta jugar videojuegos. Soy de México. Sorry my english grammar. I love the Virtual Console, party and fighting games too.

You can download retail Wii games via the Wii U eShop, but not via the Wii Shop Channel.

"Gee, that's really persuasive. Do you have any actual points to make other than to essentially say 'me Tarzan, physical bad, digital good'?"

Wii (without gray-legality softmods) was only able to load digital games from its 512MB internal Flash memory, far too small for them to release retail games through Wii Shop (there was an SD Card option, but it was really copying the game to internal memory and deleting it after play), as the Wii discs were about 4.5 (single-layer) and 8.3GB (dual).

Thanks for the clarification. When I did have a Wii back in the day I never used the eShop so I was unaware.

Need to get a Gamecube controller next and pick up some GC classics from my chidlhood.
