I know the online services of the Wii have been shut down, but is that just online multiplayer, or has the browser been shut down as well?
I usually use my 3DS for browsing the web (like I'm doing now), but there are some sites (like my email) that my 3DS can't handle. I usually use my 360 browser for such things, but due to the current Internet Explorer bug, I have to avoid using it for now.
I only ask because I can't get on my Wii at the moment to immediately try it out.
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
Yay, 360 IE. About as useful as my 3DS browser, which is pretty lousy. 360 IE may have the IE9+ UI, but it renders worse than IE8. And like any IE, not exactly secure. I'm not sure about the Wii browser, but it likely would.

Also, the shut down of online services doesn't occur until May 20th.
Formally called brewsky before becoming the lovable, adorable Yoshi.
Now playing:
Final Fantasy XIV (PC) | The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (Switch) | Celeste (Switch)
yup it works fine. The youtube Channel as well. And the Wii Shop.
Also, one interesting thing is that the Mii Parade also works! Which is kinda strange since they discontinued the WiiConnect24 in June 2013. But if you go to Mii Parade in Mii Channel, you can see new random Miis from other users every day and take them to your console, it works normally! (http://nintendo.wikia.com/wiki/Mii_Parade)
