I don't really think so but there are some biased sites that barley show anything Nintendo related when they're supposed to have coverage on all consoles(thats why I come here). I also think that ever since the cube was released there has been a lot of mixed opinions about Nintendo.
what do you guys think?

Coverage seems fair to me.

The reason for that is probably because they favor Microsoft's xbox 360 and Sony's PS3 over Nintendo's Wii.. The way i see it, Nintendo's at the bottom of the food chain. Though i think otherwise. Nintendo is great! But i hate to admit it but Nintendo is pretty kiddish.. I mean honestly some games are really really wtfish.. And what's with the multiplayer Online? Is Nintendo terrified of getting sued or losing kiddy costumers? The Online on Nintendo games are garbage compared to the xbox or PS3. But i'm not talking trash or trying to offend Nintendo in any way. I'm just giving my opinion. Nintendo is a great company which i will always look up to no matter what.

I think that the Media is tired of seeing the toys that Nintendo makes. They need to concentrate on their first party games. Not just Mario. Haven't you notice that there hasn't been a Starfox game yet. Well on the Wii anyways.

I rather see them release the original Star Fox on the VC. It's still my favorite. I'm not too big on SF64's arena fights and the effing Landmaster. It's a decent game, but it can't touch the former as far as I'm concerned. All games after that just went completely downhill.

@ comment 3I have a xbox 360 and ps3 and I think that online play isn't as cool as everyone thinks. I love gears 2 and left 4 dead but to me online play seems like an excuse to make short cheap games. Left 4 dead for example only has four levels that can all be completed in 3 hours but they throw in online play and the game is a huge success.
Now think about if the game had no online play.... it would tank. I just don't like the mentality that everything needs online. Sure there are a lot of titles that I would like to see have online play but I don't think it's necessity like some people think.

Online play is necessary because people don't always have video gamer friends. It's a matter of convenience. I wouldn't buy Smash Bros. Brawl if it didn't have online play, just because it would be a long hassle trying to round up people to come over and play the game in my room with me.

Playing with humans gives any game more value, and can make the worst games seem slightly decent

I agree to an extent with the OP. IGN and Joystiq seem to offer the best mainstream cover, but clearly the IGN reviewers are mixed when it comes to their opinion of fundamentals of the system like motion controls and the broader target. Eurogamer has the odd article and decent review, but it's token and I've stopped reading their main page because they barely look at the Wii.
