[16:43] James: I should learn these site rules more clearly
[16:44] LztheBlehBird: James doesn't know the rules? For shame!!!
This is the biggest thing that bugs me about region-locking: Naruto Ultimate Ninja 3, known as in Japan as Naruto: Narutimate Hero 3 (NARUTO-ナルト-ナルティメットヒーロー3, Naruto: Narutimetto Hīrō 3?), is the third installment of the fighting game series Naruto: Ultimate Ninja. This game was released in Japan on December 22, 2005 [and] in North America on March 25, 2008.
3 years is a seriously long wait - gamers should be able to import and play a game they really want when they don't expect the game to be released in their region. Coupled with the fact that Nintendo likes to keep releasing patches to disable freeloaders make this stuff even more annoying.
But if Nintendo feels that gamers outside of Japan shouldn't be able to play some games within a reasonable time frame, and sometimes never, then I guess that's up to them.
As much as we all would want it, I don't see that happening. It would probably reduce the use of the homebrew channel, so Nintendo maaaaay consider it at some point, but I doubt it. Looks like I'll never get to play Captain Rainbow or explore Namco's ridiculous Japanese VC Arcade list after all.
